Now all they need to do is make a game like this, but with more tactical combat gameplay.

yeah, too bad they couldn't have made the combat like Blade of Darkness.

This game reminds me of Colonel Kurtz with all the "mad" dialogue.

The upgraded shotgun and machine gun definitely rip it up. I can stun lock a Big Daddy now.

Speaking of "mad" dialogue:

I had no problem putting him down after all the hoops he made me jump through.

After bringing down the hammer of death on him, I took his picture and got an achievement called "Irony".  icon_lol

Lol, that might be the funniest Family Guy bit ever. Or maybe I just loved it because it was in the first episode back from the show's hiatus. (Now I actually never think of the store without thinking of Family Guy)

I was actually thinking 'Click' but Family Guy did have that bit too.

Is there some sort of recap of the story up to Halo 3 that I could download? I completed Halo so long ago and never played Halo 2, I also read about half way through one of the novels. I could really use a recap.

I think there will be a disc that has all of the cutscenes from the first two games included with the Legendary edition.  Which is unfortunate, because no way in hell am I going to buy that one.

you don't want the helmet to wear while playing?

Do I need a preorder for the collectors? The one that is better than the regular but not the stupid ass helmet game? Because I want the calibration tool and the other stuff in it-should I get on it?

I'd say yes if you want to be sure to get it .

So what, you just push the inventory button and it pops up his 'storage' as well? How does it work?

Inquiring minds (who only has the demo and no manual) want to know.

yeah, when you enter the inventory the horse inventory pops up where the alchemy section would normally be.  It makes me wonder if I should start checking found horses for loot....

and here I thought it actually had a decent manual, but I get length doesn't count for anything anymore.

That's an overscan problem (and is, depending on who you want to blame, the fault of your TV or the software developer).  Basically, TVs actually display variable amounts of the signal that's sent, so developers need to ensure that UI elements are within a certain safe area so that they're not cut off.  It's actually a certification requirement for video games, so I'm sure that Bioshock falls within whatever the accepted parameters are.  Other games may play it safer and bring the UI closer to the center of the screen than is strictly required by cert.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Overscan is the wikipedia entry on the phenomenon.

that explains why the TV logos are partially missing on HD programs when I watch them.  I always wondered about that.

Well, with a gift card that I have and a PM of CC at BB, I can get this for 30.00 out the door.

Wondering now if that's too much...may try blockbuster as they have like 8 copies of Bioshock. HOpefully that means they'll have more than one of these.

A shame too as I was really looking forward to this. The demo though was SO underwhelming.

it seriously sounds like a rental.

damn, in one of those rare instances I was up all night playing- I didn't notice the time until I saw sunlight starting to creep through the window, the game had me sucked in so badly.  I finally found some trainers and learned a bunch of combat skills (including the currently broken ones- 300 gold a pop didn't phase me with all the loot I have been getting).  I also discovered that, if you stand facing your horse with the 'mount' action popping up, your horse has an inventory where you can store loot.  Again, I didn't see that anywhere in the manual so it was a happy accidental discovery.

[edit] Oh well, I just ordered the stuff online.  I don't know why, nor am I complaining, but for some reason I don't think I was charged tax, and I selected in-store pick-up.

Another oddity... the store I selected, for some reason, will not allow me to pick up "American Psycho" there.

do they actually ship stuff to the store for in store pickup, or do they just pull the DVD's from the store inventory?  if it's the latter then they may be out of stock.

thanks for the info!  I wasn't sure how to use daggers at all and I've just been going to the inventory screen to change weapons during combat.  I don't remember seeing that in the manual, but it seemed it glossed things in parts (like hotkey options disappearing when your not in the proper mode to use them or the first hotkey bar not being customizable).  I'll have to sit down with it again, probably with a mganifying glass since they decided to use such small print  icon_lol

Hell, I didn't see it in my manual either (PC version).  I just found out about them from various 2 Worlds forums.  Up until last night I was using the swap in inventory technique too (thank god the game pauses when you do that).

I don't think they proofread the thing.   It says use x and c to cycle through the hotbar, yet C brings up the character screen.

For the multiplayer it seems all they would have to do is put everybody into slow-mo when somebody uses it, but only the person that used it can move their crosshair at the normal rate and everybody else moves it slower just like their movements.

it sounds like slo mo would suck for MP.  either everyone would use it at once or people would just spam it making it less fun for those who don't have it to use.
