I don't have a PSP because I'm waiting for the PSP2000.

I don't have a DS because I keep on talking myself out of buying one.

Due to some folks at the local gaming shop I've recently found Magic after a long history of turning my nose up at it. At the moment I have no finished armies for the games people are playing, so I picked up a couple of the Tenth Edition starters to learn the game. A few boxes of boosters later, and I'm having a grand ol' time making decks and trying them out.

I'm very much looking forward to the Lorwyn block, even if the swamps are too damn happy. What can I say, I like playing tribes.

In fact, I only run mono-color decks at the moment with my Green and Black being the strongest of the bunch. Have lotsa fun with those.

There are those that take it too seriously, just like any hobby, but I no longer think everyone who plays is a socially retarded misfit. Dammit, it's a fun game.

and thus the addiction starts.  soon you'll be giving handjobs for that ultra rare green card  icon_wink

You must absolutely dispise the Wii.

I should have clarified my statement more because I left a lot of room for assumtions which aren't true.
I do not hate the Wii because when you buy that console system you know what to expect. However, with the PS3 I feel that since it uses a traditional control design that all games should fully support that design sans the sixaxis bologna. Removing the ability to use the analog sticks to control a character and then forcing a poorly implemented motionsensor control scheme on users is shortsighted and just plain rude.

So, to clarify, I do not like motionsensor games on the PS3. Partial implementation of the sixaxis technology is okay so long as it doesn't break the flow of the game (Folklore is a good example of how to ruin the flow of action).  The only game that I didn't mind sixaxis on was Resistance: Fall of Man - you get grappled by a baddy and shake the controller and that's it.

I absolutely dispise the Wii.  ninja

the sad thing is for big companies like that you're not even a drop in the bucket.  In the amount of time it takes to argue about something they probably make a hundred times what you would spend there in a year.  It's sad that chains have become so big they can have acceptable losses.

btw, where the F is season 3 set?  it's only been what 6 months since the end of the season? how gods damn long do they want to drag this out?

Nothing to do with dragging it out- DVD releases are usually positioned close to the premiere of the new season for cross promotion- so it's going to be closer to the start of the new season than the end of the last.

Also, do you guys watch any other cable shows?  Waiting almost a year between seasons is perfectly normal (FX and USA's summer lineup, most HBO and Showtime shows, etc) and the typical cable season is 11-13 episodes so in the end, 4 Seasons of BSG will end up being closer to the equivalent of 7 seasons of other cable shows.  It's mainly networks TV that has 20+ episode seasons.

I'm just not seeing the controversy here- all of these decisions are perfectly normal in progamming.

if they had done that with the previous seasons I don't think it' be an issue, but they didn't.  First they announce an almost year long break between seasosn 3 and 4, then say season 4 will be the last, then announce they are going to essentially spread out season 4 over 18 months.  And since they're ticking off their main fan base, there no guarantee the ratings will be high enough to sustain it for those 18 months.

Conspiracy Theory Alert!!!
1- Sci Fi announces that BSG S4 will only be 13 episodes.  the fans get vocal and they decide to make it a full season making them have to spend more money on a series that was getting lower ratings and they apparently were trying to end while spending as little as possible.

2- Sci Fi announces this move, pissing off the fan base and possibly lowering the ratings even further.

3- Sci Fi makes the first 10 episodes and plans to make the final 10 during the break.

4- The episodes air and ratings are abysmal.

5- Sci Fi cancels the show before production of the final 10 , citing low ratings.

No, some stores it would just say "take x amount of days", so I'm assuming that means it was going to be transfered there.  However, with American Psycho, the option of using that store was greyed out, which didn't happen with any other movie.

Another thing I need to bitch about was how f'ing stupid their interface is for telling it to use a store.  You need to go to EACH ITEM and tell it which store you want to pick it up at.
