Also, perhaps assuming they will always have these sales is a mistake.

I also found out it's bad to assume they'll always keep something available.  I went into my wish list and found about 10 items that are no longer available through them.  the worst part is they just say 'item no longer available' but don't say what it was.

Interesting....I just got a message from my nVIDIA panel saying that it throttled my vid card down a notch due to low power.  I thought my PSU was MORE than capable of handling this much gear.  Interesting...I guess I'll be making a trip to Fry's Electronics for Veteran's Day.  *shakes head*

what kind of PSU do you have?  I'm running the 8800GTX with an 850 watt PSU with no issues.

one thing I noticed today: when the game saves, it keeps all of the old saves (even quicksave doesn't erase older quicksaves), so you can end up with a pretty big save folder that will take the load games list awhile to pop up.  I deleted about 2 gigs of saves and now if I need to pull that list up it's much quicker.

I've been trying to balance out with some DC stuff as well, but the whole Infinity Crisis thing really kind of boggles my mind.  Looking at it, it's probably better to retcon things than try to explain them.  It's certainly less confusing.

The Batman comics just started 'The Resurrection of Ra's Al Ghul' which is supposed to be a major event.  I have the first 2 parts but haven't read them yet.  the whole 52 week thing does look pretty complicated- I don't think I'll touch it at all.

I have to go on record and say the Death from Above mission is probably one of my favorite game levels of all time. It's a damn shame it's so short though. I've played
through it I don't know how many times, several of them this morning alone. The first time I saw the high caliber rounds tearing across the ground, my jaw hit the floor. The
radio chatter is spot on as well. It has that perfect bit of detachment that you hear from the actual soldiers, when viewing videos of the exact thing online. Were they to
stretch that level into a full game, I would be in heaven.

yeah, that mission rocked.  I switched to the big gun without realizing what it was and giggled with glee when the shot hit.

Gameplay:  You move just like in Gears, and many other 3rd person game.  No difference there.  You can pull up a weapon by either just pulling the trigger or hitting the b button.  You can heal yourself or squad mates with the y button if you have medigel available.  Cool affect when you do it too.  I have to say I was worried about combat, but those fears are gone.  You shoot and take cover just like in Gears and Rainbow Six.  With weapon drawn you can shoot from the hip or hold the left trigger and get the zoom affect.  You can crouch by clicking the left analog stick, and you can take cover behind objects like in R6V by just walking up to an object.  You will only take cover if your weapon is drawn.  Then move to the edge, put your cursor on the target and press the left trigger and out you'll pop and then you press the right trigger to shoot.

You just made me weep.  Seriously... I'm weeping.  Bioware, thank you for giving us a good cover mechanic.  Saying "I can not wait to play this" is understatement of the freakin' year!

+1.  A cover mechanic like R6:V?  hellz yeah!

They said that about Halo 3 and it turned out to be false.  However, why is it the customer's fault if they bought the game early?

Quote from: Turtle on November 10, 2007, 07:50:52 PM

In the Halo 3 case, that was someone who used a Live exploit to access the Halo 3 friends and family test.  So far, I have not heard of a single person who was banned for playing a store bought copy of Halo 3 early.  In fact, MS was rather nonchalant about the store that sold it early having sold it.
