I though I finished most of the side quests but a few more just popped up, including one on Feros I can't complete as it didn't turn up in Zhus Hope (I keep wanting to call it Zhus Landing)  until after I completed everything else and cannot go back to Exogeni  disgust  I checked the boards and the devs confirmed that you cannot go back, which doesn't make much sense.

During the teaser's blink and you'll miss it" rapid-fire image sequence, the teaser in question definitely shows a hand inserting a checked card into a ballet box with the phrase "Biopolitic 2027" stenciled predominantly on the side. Die hard Deus Ex fans will recognize this date as being significantly earlier than both the original Deus Ex (which took place in the 2050s) and Deus Ex 2: Invisible War (which took place 20 years later in the 2070s). More suspiciously however, the teaser video has apparently been re-edited since its release by Eidos to remove the indemnifying date. Hmm. Conspiracy?

well, it's all about conspiracies, and what better conspiracy then Bush stuffing the ballot boxes on 2000- er, I mean someone rigging an election in 2027.

Doesn't emperor imply having an empire?

I don't know exactly  because I didn't do them but, according to the strat guide, they open up when you get sufficient points (I think it's the same as the achievement- 75%) in paragon or renegade.

I'll try and look in the guide tonight and see if I can find out how to initiate them.

Thanks.  I have full paragon, and I wonder if I had gotten them.

Okay, looking at the guide, the Paragon mission is called:

UNC: Besieged Base

and the Renegade mission is called:

UNC: The Negotiation

Both are triggered by filling their corresponding gauge 75% and going to any system.

Both must be completed before going to

So clearly rushed out the door, if this had actually been a Blizzard game, they would have delayed it until February, released to big fanfare and probably really good sales.  Have these companies learned nothing from Blizzard's example?  I mean, frankly EA has the money it needs to keep the development going for a few more months.

yeah, wasn't Diablo 2 released in June the year it came out?  Oh wait, it didn't do that well  icon_wink

Or... it could be less about rewarding gold members or punishing silver members, and just be about defraying costs, which is something that Sony'd have to think about doing if they had a substantive number of people on their network.

i only really had a problem with the end fights, past the lead up to #9.

I haven't gotten to the end, but I have noticed that in all the big fights that I have been in, the last guy tries to run away.  I have to run after him and stab stab!

I loved doing that- they'd run, I'd chase and do a high profile kill on them.  Poor fools just died tired.

That's a hell of a load.

ROTC good review. Something you should also mention was the use of the Journal screen. The way it works itself seamlessly into the game is something more games should do. It really nails it. Also in using the Journal, by talking to people and reading books you expand your knowledge. This affects gameplay because you can use that knowledge to defeat monsters. It obviously is not critical, but really helps the immersion. Something I read in Chapter II suddenly became useful to me in Chap V. That was cool.

Yeah, I should have also mentioned the birds in the environment and the awesome killing blows smile
