When did FF12:RW come out? Isn't 49k appalling for a FF title on the DS?

I'm not sure what SE's expectations were- I think the big issue is that they effectively changed genres.  If it had been a straight up RPG I imagine the numbers would have been considerably better.  Also, I don't think SE did jack to promote it.
Will I like it is the real question.. smile Looks like I am going to do this DS thing, god help me.

Kasia Kuczyńska - designer
On the blog written by Katarzyna Kuczyńska you will learn about designers life from the inside. She’s responsible for implementing main story in “The Witcher”. You’ll learn what “crunch time” is, you’ll read about the secrets of creating individual acts in the game, secrets of game designer’s work and about many curiosities connected with creating “The Witcher”.

Daniel Sadowski - engine programmer
What’s going on in “The Witcher” – i.e. producing the game from the point of view of a programmer. What is the legendary RED Aquarium? What’s its story and who are its inhabitants? How were various game elements made? Who is the most savage table footballer? These and many more questions will be answered on Daniel Sadowski’s blog.

Piotr Chomiak - senior animator
Peep at RED’s graphic artists’ work! Here, you’ll learn everything about their work organisation and technical side of creating graphics and animation.

Łukasz Mach - PR manager
Anarchist armed forces of CD Projekt RED. A bit about “The Witcher”, a bit about the author, a bit about author’s relation to “The Witcher” (say what???). Totally non-PR blog of a PR guy working on “The Witcher” project. No waffling on, no publicity, no nothing… or something like that… ha ha.

Piotr Szymański - QA specialist
If you think, that a tester’s life is playing “The Witcher” 8 h/day, my blog will probably free your minds from this erroneous idea. The whole truth about game testing, which is peculiar survival in the abyss of a developers studio, served with a right pinch of irony and black humour, under the “grey” RED reality dressing.

As for the Dell... Keep looking around at the PCs from time to time. I found one that had a screenshot of Aklabeth (Richard Garriot's first game, however it's spelled), and yes, pulling up the info on what I was looking at talked about the game. biggrin

I found that too!  It was in the Ranj settlement in the Concordia Wilderness.  I LOL'd.

I had some pretty intense base defenses last night- Purgas Hospital seems to be the place to be if you want a challenge around level 12.  At one point we didn't have enough defenders, the shield wall fell and they just came storming in like a flood.  I was just about to reach the waypoint inside the place when they took the control point and promptly got slaughtered by a group of 20 Banes.  I respawned in the Hydro plant just in time to see the same thing almost happen again, but thankfully I had a trauma pack and was able to jump back into battle without any penalties.

I wonder if the local Chinese places will be open on X-Mas.  It'll be good to eat before Ron, Jose and Jack come on over.

- The Witcher is really good. Its the NWN2 engine-just 10x better. Its gritty, dark, the combat is good if clunky, and the story is engaging. Load times are the only real issue here.

Actually it's using the Aurora Engine, which was made for Neverwinter Nights 1.  NWN2 used the Electron Engine.  So all those awesome graphics?  Done using a 5 year old engine  icon_biggrinthumbsup
