I read on a web site I saw linked to on Blues News (don't have the link handy) that Capcom has actually made the text smaller for Lost Planet than it was for Dead Rising.  I haven't grabbed the demo yet, but has anyone had issues with any text?

They're going to be in town on December 22nd, and I've been trying to get people together to see them.

As for gaming this weekend, most Gothic 1 and NWN2 (finally got the graphics to a decent setting and the game has clicked).  I don't think I fired up the 360 or PS2 at all.

PS3 speculators are soulless vultures who steal consoles from the likes of Tiny Tim (who just wants to play a game on it before dying) just to make a quick buck.  They are worse than Osama bin Laden, Kim Jong Il and George W Bush combined and deserve to be slapped down whenever the chance arises.  I hope their auctions fail miserably, or someone makes them believe they made alot of cash but never pays them, or pays them in phony money so they lose both the PS3 and the cash.

I was unable to get anything on their 'compatable' list to boot.  In fact, it wouldn't boot anything. I'm using a slim PS2, and the manual mentions 'pressing eject' so no telling if this would work on a chubby PS2 or not, but its sure as hell not working on mine.     The disc boots and changes resolution, just as they promise, but when I put in a game or movie it just sits at 'loading' forever.  *shrug*

More PS3 scaling information.  Doesn't look too good.  Doesn't look like it's gonna be a firmware fixable issue.  You know what I think the big issue is with the PS3?  I think Sony used their big console name to essentially, try and launch Blu-Ray into the winning standard.  I mean between the scaling issues and the fact that it doesn't even include Hi-Def cables when you buy it...Well I don't know it just sucks for people that bought it to actually game with.

wow.... luckily they're having production issues so maybe we'll see 2nd gen PS3's that fix this problem alot quicker (if it can't be fixed via an update).

We've joked about beta-testing the PS3 hardware, but it keeps getting less and less funny.

I'll tell you what.  The solo Terrorist hunts will hone your paranoia about opening doors, windows, the space 5 steps behind you that you just came from...  one on 25-35 gets really interesting on some of the maps, such as LVU library and the dam.  Just so many places people can hide and pop out from.  It is slowly making me be simultaneously more cautious and less likely to hold still for very long.

The only game that supports 1080p for the 360 is Splinter Cell.

Going through the back of the cases, Superman Returns is the only one I have (including Splinter Cell DA) that actually lists 1080p as an option.

Slept in until 9:30 am then headed into work for a 9 hour shift.  I really didn't see any deals that wowed me (probably because I already bought most of the stuff I need).

Honestly, whenever I get in the mood for a retro game I just locate a ROM of it, so seeing them on either MS or Sony's marketplace doesn't get me excited anymore unless it's a really hard to find title.  And from what I remember of the games in the NEO-GEO game cabinets they sucked anyways.

No Wii for me until the LAN orWiFi adapter and Component cables are available at the store I buy it at.

wow, if Sony doesn't find a way to combat this game devs will start losing money big time.  They'll probably stop developing for a non profitable system, and turn to the 360 for their AAA titles.
