Hotel Dusk... oh wait, I need to get a DS first. OK, a DS Lite and Hotel Dusk. Or maybe a Wii. Possibly a Gamecube if I can't find a Wii. And Zelda. or maybe nothing at all.
of course I did re-install WoW last night but haven't re-subscribed yet.....
Let us hope with your ability to make decisions that you are never put in charge of a squad of post apocolyptic warriors fighting off the Muslocommies as you will get them slaughtered. no no no... Muslocommies are simple as there is only one option: KILLKILLKILL!!! Deciding what game/console to buy is much more complicated.

Of course Hetz, with his sly n' winky PS3 reference, is confusing "no good games for the system" with "not enough good games for the system." I haven't seen anyone say there are *no* good games for the PS3.
It was a reference to a joke post by TheGrue in another thread where he did indeed say there "no good games for the PS3". well, you see, since there are no games currently out for the PS3 that I want to play, and since there are no game that I want to play that must mean none of them are good, and since I am the center of the universe, there are truely 'no good games' for the PS3. You mispelled truly, Mr. Master of the Universe. ZING! no I didn't, so sez I!

A friend of mine had one of those. The turbo feature basically made everything unfair. It was, however, the only way to do well in track n field.
You could pound the buttons on the standard controller and get your guy going up to a jog, or you could use turbo and have him fly down the track.
I remember buying one of those and then firing up 'Gunsmoke' over at a friends house to try it out. It was like your six shooters had become machine guns

Not much for me this weekend. I had fun trying out the Battlestations: Midway demo on Friday night and played some Just Cause while downloading it. Oh, and an abortive attempt at Shadow of the Colossus (which was promptly returned Saturday). No gaming on Saturday or Sunday as I sat down and finally did a marathon of the Lord of the Rings Extended Editions on Saturday and tried to catch up on my DVR recordings on Sunday.

These are the tops of all of the console votes. If you wanted to vote for Dead Rising and such. If you think it is more appropriate, I can scrap this vote and restart it with the top 3 of each platform. Yea? Nay?
I think you should continue with this vote, but also add suveys for the top game for each platform. I'm just as interested in seeing the overall top console and handheld game as I am in seeing the top game for each platform. That's what I thought was going to happen- a game of th year poll for each system and then a final deathmatch poll between all of the winners for overall GotY. Or you could just stick with this poll. I'm easy that way.

I wonder who here is on step 5: Everything new sucks until the next thing comes out. When that happens, the new thing invariably proves even more insultingly horrid, thereby making the previously sucky, no-longer-new thing way better by comparison and therefore classic and preferable to this new shit we're now stuck playing.

Congrats! I hate you, but Congrats anyways I was going to attempt Target this morning, but when my alarm went off I just hit and went back to sleep. Apparently we got snow this morning so I wouldn't have gone anyways.

Also, I thought they only held pre-orders for 48 hours.
Would they keep a pre-order if it was paid for in full? They didn't have any boxes out and they didn't have any behind the counter where they keep most of the 360 games. The guy working there opened up the cupboard where they keep the pre-orders to look and said they were all spoken for. Normally they crew there are really good about what they have available.

Buy a gamecube and Zelda instead? I'm actually starting to consider doing that. I'll need to grab a a GC memory card and controller anyways, and right now there is only a few games that I really need a Wii for: Red Steel, Trauma Center and Zelda. I can get Zelda for the GC and then just trade in or give away the GC when I finally get my hands on a Wii.

Most overrated game of 2006. Period. . . . .
Most overrated game of 2006. Period.
Whew, good thing it was a game of 2005 Most overrated game of 2006. Period.
It's the same thing over and over. Minor variations in the colossi, but basically they're all the same.
You spend more time wandering than fighting.
No story to speak of. I'm killing these things to raise this chick? Is it his Sister? Mother? Twin? Does she owe him money? Blah blah.
Most overrated game of 2006. Period.
1) your choice of most over-rated game of 2006 was actually released in 2005... 2) please do continue bashing the game at every opportunity - i'm sure there's some theraputic value still to be gotten, even after all this time ...

So, I grabbed a used copy tonight and played for about 90 minutes. Actually, I spent 60 of those minutes fighting the controls and the final 30 playing around with the first Colossi while still fighting the controls. Definitely not my thing - I'm going to see if I can return it tomorrow at EB.

I forgot to say it earlier (I got de-railed by warnings wood comment)(yes that is going to be taken out of context) but kudos to you guys. I don't know how you do it and still have personal lives- I tried doing a DVD newsletter for a site once and even though it was a weekly release I burned myself out after 4 or 5 weeks.
Bravo, Bravo!

I really like the 360 controller, but I've never had problems with the PS2 controller. Of course I use the Logitech wireless PS2 controller most of the time so that may make a difference.
Do you use AA batteries in that controller or does it have a charge pack? 360 I use the charge pack, PS2 wireless just AA's. So far I have about 60 hours of gameplay on the same batteries but I'm sure I'll have to switch them out soon.
