Just do not leave the road. The road is safe everything else is still irradiated.
They give you protection so as long as you don't stay too long you're fine. Not too long ago 60 Minutes did a segment on the place and the reporter was able to go into the power plants old control room for a couple of minutes and he didn't even have a full suit on.

If there was a way to prevent my wife from ever seeing it, I would put something like that on my desktop
Am I the only one who thinks that ugly-ass prison tattoo knocks her from a 10 to an 8? I'll go so much further as to say I don't find her particularly attractive whatsoever. says the guy giving naked pictures of himself to semaj......

I remember reading a book about an asteroid hitting earth, Lucifer's Hammer if i recall. It started out saying that the chances of it hitting earth were 1,000,000 to 1. Then as time went by it became 500,000 to 1, 100,000 to 1, 10,000 to 1,....oh sh!t!!!! ~crash!~
That was a good book. I need to pick up another copy of it one of these days.

i have just been playing silent hill 1,and that game would be fantastic if it had silent hill origins(at least) engine....the game itself is still great, but i couldnt believe how dated the graphics looked....the guys shoulders were so square that i thought he was an extra from Dynasty.............the sound is still cuts the mustard though, and it still remains in my top ten of all time greats....i just wonder how great again it could be being remade...guess the same goes for the usual suspects of games(FF7 for one)
I really want to see what they can do with the new systems...

800 points is just for the base game with support for ore, grain and wool resources. The lumber and brick add-ons cost 200 points each. I'm guessing the spoiler means you're kidding. If not, what are the implications of this? He's kdding. It's actually Sheep and Brick that you'll have to pay for. (those 5 items are the resources you need to build stuff during the game)

Somebody assured me in an earlier thread that Microsoft fixes the 360's that they ship back to you.
Well, I got mine today...annnd they told me they've given me a new one.
I swear, it's going to break in a week.
The warranty update reads "most customers will now receive their original console back from Microsoft." I received my original Xbox back last week. you sent them your 360 and you got your original XBox back? dude, that's just wrong......

stop picking on the poor Grue! TheGrue needs to learn to I don't understand how people can have such a problem with the quote function, it's not that complicated say what he's thinking, and to avoid posting his replies inside quote tags.

Fairy Godmother Tycoon?
I'm all for tycoon games, but c'mon.
I saw a prison tycoon game at Best Buy. One of the features was "use a variety of weapons against rioting inmates!" I was pretty appalled by that. me too. Apparently they don't have enough execution options in the game if you have enough prisoners left over to riot

I think it's more likely that the Japanese as bad guys lead to a morally gray area that you don't get mowing down Nazis.
Howzat? They were every bit as evil and twisted as the nazis. Yeah, I was pretty sure WWII era Japan had a terrible reputation, which is part of the reason they have bad relations with vietnam and china. Not something I've ever studied so I'm willing to be wrong on that, but... No, you're not wrong. The WWII museum in New Orleans has an entire section devoted to the Pacific theater and the sheer brutality of it, and massive atrocities committed, will have you in tears by the time you leave. I think the moral grey area comes in with the atomic bomb thing. And it's easy to separate modern Germans from Nazis. The Japanese are still the Japanese. It's a perception thing whether it's true or not. I guess the gray area is whether we should have dropped a few more on them. <cough> Remember, war on civilians was an accepted tactic back then. But I'm talking about the moral boundaries of the modern gamer looking back. Also, I think people are hoping to sell some games in Japan... Just make it a 360 exclusive then. Problem solved

It's a good thing I decided against going into teaching. Otherwise I'd have to have someone develop a program that would wipe out all traces of everything I've ever posted on the web, no matter where the evidence was

Picked up a Wii on Sunday too. Wii sports is fun. Got Madden, but it seems hard. Anyone have impressions of Marvel Alliance? Seems fun to be able use the controllers like Wolverines claws Spiderman 3 is supposed to make great use of the Wii mote and nunchak!

Why is it that everytime someone mentions anything WoW I get an itch to play it? It's probably a good thing that no one I know who is local plays the CCG or else I'd be in trouble.

Played a good amount of Twilight Princess on the Wii this weekend and discovered why everyone hates the water dungeon. Talk about "teh suck" given shape and form. Almost to the end of it so hopefully I can beat that portion after work then move on with the game. Also, did a fair amount of Wii Sports as well. The little console that could is finally getting my attention after sitting on the shelf for two months.
I almost forgot I tried Zelda once more this weekend. Given my current lack of enthusiasm about continuing, WBS's piece of info is the final nail in the coffin. I'm alread dreading the next wolf area, and knowing there is a horrible dungeon ahead just kills any motivation that was left. I really wanted to like the game too

Um... odd. So after Brendan PMed me a link today on xbox.com to see if my console was under warranty (it wasn't), I called the Xbox folks today to see how much it would cost to repair it and... it's back under warranty. Something happened in the span of about 8 hours, but a coffin is on it's way to me and I should get a repaired or refurbed one back free of charge. They're also extending my XBL subscription by a month, lol.
Odd, but I'll take it.
gellar
Brendan probably took a couple of those guys out back and told them if they don't do right by you they'd end up with an image of tubgirl tattoed on the inside of one eyelid and goat.se on the other..... his gamertag is 'Villain' after all......
