I'm glad it's getting closer to completion. I've held off on playing either the XBox or PC version of KOTOR II in anticipation of this. I hope it's ready soon because I get a terrible itch for the game whenever I'm in a game store. I grabbed a copy when I saw it at Target for 20 bucks just in case it's hard to find/out of circulation by the time they finish the project.

What I'm curious about is if there will be anything to prevent you from "stacking" the deck with your good cards, or just spreading them out and picking the best cards when it comes time to add cards to the playing field. Maybe they could set it up in such a way that it doesn't matter. Not sure though.
Maybe the game will tell you to draw 4 cards, set them face down on the playing field and pick one based on a random number the game gives you. I'm sure the players will require everything to be in full view of the Eye.

So this thread got me to load up fallout 1, as I've never played it. I'm then moving onto fallout 2, since I got about halfway through and quit. My favorite part of this game is being able to target body parts, I really hope that makes it into fallout 3 somehow.
Body part targeting combined with Bloody Mess. Now that was fun. Imagine if they can pull that off in a 3D FPS..... I've always wanted another game with a GHOUL like damage model.

CVG's latest 'new Blizzard game' story states that the game will be a Starcraft MMO:
The long-rumoured new instalment of Blizzard's massive StarCraft series is set to be unveiled later this month - and it's another massively-multiplayer online game in the style of World of Warcraft, CVG can reveal. If that's true:

Another port of a game I played a year ago. Hooray for innovation!
True.....i am wondering, what the price will be,maybe putting the first and second trilogy in is jutsifying the full price I only kind of played the first one and never got around to picking up the second, so this could be worth it.

I was reading the fines imposed..$1500 was one. To her thats liek a penny is to me. They should raise a fine to compensate for the amount of money one has. A $500 fine to me should be like $500,000 to someone like Paris. How else is it really a punishment to someone like that?

OK, after some more playtime with the Wii version I have come to the following conclusion (small rant warning):
AVOID THE WII VERSION AT ALL COSTS!!! It's one of those games that wow's you at first but quickly kicks you in the nuts! Graphical glitches, wonky controls, and really easy combat plus it looks to be very short- I have just about 20% completion with less than an hour of play time. The straw that broke the camels back? the city does seem dead, but I just got to the New Green Goblin fight and surprise surprise!!! the city all of a sudden has a ton of traffic all plus the motion hints the game tries to give you to set you up to attack him fly by VERY quickly.
I may end up grabbing the 360 version since it's done by Treyarch and not Vicarious Visions, but from all of the other reviews it may not be until I can find it cheap and used.

wow, the Wii graphics are pretty harsh. I'm getting flickering shadows and I'm having trouble believing the pics on the back of the box haven't been doctored (I knew the review said they were lacking but I didn't think they'd lack this much). The controls are interesting, but I'm afraid the graphics on my TV are going to be too bad to really enjoy the game. At least it only put me out 50 bucks.
edit to add: someone went a bit crazy with the Bloom effect too.

I probably should have added, that i'm also looking for something for my 6year old. I guess the Mario games would be good.
OK, you may want to scratch Eternal Darkness off the list

Many analysts are predicting (due to review scores getting worse and worse as the typical, drooling, adoring early viewing reviews fade away and poor word of mouth amongst early screeners) that this maybe the most frontloaded Spiderman movie ever-ie, it will likely shatter every box office record we have for the first two weeks and then drop off precipitously compared to the first 2. At least thats what some of them think-I am interested to see what happens with word of mouth.
Plus the fact that it seems the theaters here are playing it nonstop over the weekend (one is advertising 48 hours of nonstop Spiderman- I couldn't believe there was a line for the 3am showings as I was leaving the 12:01 one). If other places are doing that chances are everyone will have seen it in a couple of weeks. My opinion: It was fun, not great but not horrid. They tried to do too much in it, and Venom felt tacked on as an afterthought. There were some WTF? moments, Bruce Campbell was awesome as always and the girl who plays Gwen Stacy? I'd hit it.

I don't think they lose any funtionality. As for good games there are the Metroid Primes, Eternal Darkness and Star Wars: Rogue Leader 2 (of course they are the only ones I have, so there are going to be others).

KD did an excellent job on writing the reviews, you should definitely just check them out once they go live. hopefully they'll be up before it's too late Wait, what are you trying to say? No really tell me...what do you know?...come on don't let me buy this if its a stinker... tell me, I need to know, gimme, gimme, I need, I need.... I'm picking up the Wii today, but after noon I won't have access to the site until I get home tonight, and my EB is on the way home, so I could be grabbing a potentially poorly controlled game. Thta's why I'm hoping the reviews are up before I'm away from the PC.
