Ah!  Well, I watched the new season premier last night and, man, there was a lot of male to male kissing and Jack almost says he loves Gwen and later asks Yato(sp?) on a date.  My wife was watching it with me and she agrees it's getting weird.  She said the same thing I did, they're British and I've noticed that they do a lot of things so much different than the US...  The new episode last night was more strange than when I posted this topic.

The key is that it was programmed for the PS3 originally and then ported to the 360.  The question is how many developers will do that given that sales of the 360 versions of most games are going to be higher?  The only game I have actually played both the 360 and PS3 versions of Madden 08.  And I have found the 360 version vastly superior in terms of smoothness and load times.  Add in achievements and a better controller and I think the 360 version of a multi platform game is usually going to be the one to get.

plus isn't it supposed to be easier to program for the 360? or has Sony done something to help on that front?

Here's an easier one:

'You put a *greased naked woman* on all fours with a dog collar around her neck, and a leash, and a man's arm extended out up to here, holding onto the leash, and pushing a black glove in her face to sniff it. You don't find that offensive? You don't find that sexist?'

that said, the idea of playing drums for The Perfect Drug is just about the coolest idea for a RB song yet...never would have imagined it showing up.  that song is all about unusual, complex, and fast rhythms that i think could easily make it the most difficult drum song yet for Rock Band.  for all the awesomeness of the percussion part, however, i don't think it would be a lot of fun for the rest of the band...

I imagine the vocals should be pretty easy too:

Quote
I got my head, but my head is unraveling
Cant keep control, cant keep track of where its traveling
I got my heart but my heart is no good
And youre the only one thats understood
I come along but I dont know where youre taking me
I shouldnt go but youre reaching back and shaking me
Turn off the sun, pull the stars from the sky
The more I give to you, the more I die

And I want you
And I want you
And I want you
And I want you

You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug

You make me hard, when Im all soft inside
I see the truth, when Im all stupid eyed
The arrow goes straight through my heart
Without you everything just falls apart

My blood wants to say hello to you
My feelings want to get inside of you
My soul is so afraid to realize
Every little word is a lack of me

And I want you
And I want you
And I want you
And I want you

You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
(whispering)
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the perfect drug, the perfect drug
You are the perfect drug, the drug, the perfect drug

Take me, with you
Take me, with you
Take me, with you
(continues in backround)
Without you, without you everything falls apart
Without you, its not as much fun to pick up the pieces
Without you, without you everything falls apart
Without you, its not as much fun to pick up the pieces
Its not as much fun to pick up the pieces
Its not as much fun to pick up the pieces
Without you, without you everything falls apart
Without you, its not as much fun to pick up the pieces

I hope they really play up the Bonnie & Clyde aspect of the game. Unfortunately, your counterpart is usually fleshed out in some half-assed manner. He or she  simply guides you to the next gameplay sequence, or the developers end up having the two of you break up for various contrived reasons. American developers seem to have almost no understanding of how to create an actual relationship between a man and woman within a game.

not counting naughty dog (uncharted)?...

so, I'm really being tempted into getting this for the PS3 (I was going to grab Guitar Hero 3 but for 70 bucks more I might as well get 4 games in 1) and I was curious how easily do the drums break down for storage?  I definitely don't have the space to keep them up permanently so they'd have to come apart when they're not in use, plus it'll be making the occasional trip to a friends house for parties and such.

Not just that, but how are they going to handle the pretty intense BDSM elements from the first book?

And then the Sisters of the Dark, later on.  There's a lot of really freaky crap in those books.

don't forget about the main bad guy in the first book who divines the answers to questions by looking at the scattered entrails of little boys...not quite TV-friendly either...

they'll probably change it to a crystal ball.  One of those ones with the electricity arcing out from the center.

Yeah, ground combat takes a LONG TIME to become comfortable.  Honestly, it took me a long time and now I really love how it works.  Grenades are your friend.  And if you ever see a Rifle, TAKE IT.  The pistol is crazy week.  A tip with the rifle; you'll feel it sort of lock-on to your target.  It locks on the very middle of your target, and if they are very active, they'll probably shake your lock if you don't move with the target.  Aim a little higher - headshots take crazy damage.

that's making me kind of hesitant to pick up Warhawk.  Having to learn how to walk all over again doesn't sound too appealing.
