I was going to hold out forthe new model, but I'm tired of dealing with MS. My 3rd 360 died this morning. I'm going to get a new one with a local warrantee that I can just walk in the store and swap if it dies.
Got 10 months or so out of this one... getting better.
Sorry to hear that man :icon_sad:

I really need to sit down and watch DS9 on DVD. Actually, I think that will be my next goal for my DVD collection- getting all the Star Trek DVD's.
I'm going to need a bigger rack....

Instead of just flushing toilets, DNF needs to give players the option to poop in the toilets then use some kind of melee hand-to-hand combat to pick it up and fling it at opponents.
well Postal 2 did up the ante with the ability to pee and realistic piss physics....

Didn't follow the link but did they cite lower than expected availability as a problem?
oh and analysts are useless.
+1 to the analyst part, but I don't think availability will be an issue. According to itrackr.com the PS3 has been available in 24 store around the Columbus area for a week or two. I've been fighting the temptation to break my resolution and buy a new shiney since I can't find a Wii. Every time I stop in the local EBGames to check and see if they have any Wii's they go 'no, but there's a PS3 with your name on it in the back'.

I'm wondering how Ohio ended up in the orange......
Ohio River flooding? Tornadic outbreaks? I guess it all adds up over time. That's the nice thing about Columbus, we tend to be missed by most of the major weather. <knocks on wood>

This question is like asking which is better: Kirk or Picard.
No it's not because there isn't a clear cut winner in this case. Kirk FTW. +1. Kirk makes Picard his bitch FTW.

I guess my point is that the FPS genre has advanced SO much since then that simply flushing toilets and shrinking pig cops won't cut it. What new can they bring to the table that hasn't been done to death at this point?
More realistic boobies?

Well shit. Hey, um... Since we're on the subject, can anyone list all the titles he developed for the PS1 and PS2, so I'll know how big of a loss gamingwise this is for the PS3?
Exactly. This is a total non-issue, due to the fact that he never will develop for the PS3 anyway. In fact, he was one of the first people to whine about how hard it was to develop for. There is no support to pull. Half-Life 2 is being published by EA, not Valve. They have no say in it at this point. Is this a personal quest for you? If people don't like the PS3, does it injure you some how? You seem to be taking this way to seriously. I don't want Sony to fail, but I'm not going to get all uppity about it. Why the obsession? I'm not seeing how Hetz is taking anything personal in this thread, or being uppity. Heck, almost everyone's been civil about the PS3/360/Wii brouhaha for about a week now and things seem to be cooling down. All that's been given is some facts. Now, let's all move on to the next obsession: THE PHANTOM! Thanks, Ceekay. No Prob 'We all stand together or we hang seperately' or something like that; except for Calvin, we just shove him out of the airlock (dead weight and all that )

Randal Graves: All right look, there's only one return, okay, and it ain't "of the King," it's "of the Jedi." Hobbit Lover: Oh, Star Wars geek. Randal Graves: Oh, i'm the geek? Look at you two whipping out your preciouses. Elias: You'll have to excuse him, he's not "down" with the trilogy. Randal Graves: Oh, what the fuck happened to this world. There's only one trilogy you fucking morons. Hobbit Lover: You know what, maybe we should start calling your friend Padme, 'cause he loves Manakin Skywalker so much, right? [in robot voice] Hobbit Lover: Danger danger, my name is Anakin. My shitty acting is ruining saga. Elias: [chucking] Yeah, you're crazy Jar-Jar. Randal Graves: Oh, I'm crazy? Those fuckin' hobbit movies were boring as hell. All it was, was a bunch of people walking, three movies of people walking to a fucking volcano.

As for the Godfather...movie 3 and Sophia Copola entirely invalidates it from this disucssion.
How about the fact that 2 is nothing more than a re-hash of 1 invalidates it from this discussion. Yeah. I went there. how about we examine your man lust for WBS? hells yeah I went there!!!

I've watched the original Star Wars trilogy many times. While I liked LoTR I've only watched the first film a few times, the second film twice and the third once in the theaters or on DVD. I bought RotK EE on DVD when it came out and still haven't watched it.
So, based on the amount of times I've been able to sit and watch each series, I have to go with Star Wars as being the best of the two.

I thought The Shield was also coming out for the PS2 this week. Other than a slight interest in that nothing for me this week. If I had a DS I might get Phoenix Wright, but only if I got my hands on the first one. Burning Crusade is another possible eventual purchase, but I give Engine's post a +1.

I experienced every single thing during the match we played friday night, and even pointed out most of it over the mic, yet you guys just told me I was whining...I am starting to get to the end of my enjoyment with GoW multi, but maybe this week will turn it around.
Actually I think I barely played when you were playing- didn't you have to drop out early? heh, I actually unplugged my mic at one point I was swearing so much.

Got royally annoyed with some glitches with GoW (I was getting FUBAR'd reloads when I was clearly in the white on reloads/ the game let me run around when getting chainsawed and suddenly BAM i was dead/ My side showed a head shot with the sniper rifle yet the other guy lived/ granted all were probably lag but still annoying) on Friday night so I played some Just Cause and Gothic 3.

How did they explain away the change in Klingons from white guys with goatees to the current badass mofos?
Gene Rodenberry said there were Northern and Souther Klingons, while others said the Klingons from the original series were genetically bred human/klingon hybrids for their PR department.

Oh sure, torpedo my thread. MOD ABUSE!!! anyways, Interesting start to the new day. Jack's back but the whole 'get him back to action' bit felt a little rushed (understandably it was necessary though due the the shows time constraints). And wow, that was an interesting way to take out one of the bad guys Anyone else watching?

Even-numbered movies == good (Khan, Voyage Home, Undiscovered Country, First Contact). Odd-numbered movies == bad (TMP, Search, V-Whatever-It-Was-Called, Generations).
After First Contact it all went to hell.
Generations was kind of fun. The last 2 were just 'meh'. I'm waiting to see what J.J. Abrams is going to do with XI.

I'd be tempted but payday isn't until the 19th and I hate letting my reserve funds get that low....
The good news is that the deal is good until early February (look at the bottom of the coupon for the exact date). I confirmed it by chatting with my local Gamestop about it. d'oh! I just went by the dates listed up top and didn't read the fine print. You're an evil man
