Wow, you have a 25 foot tv? Isn't that like movie theatre size? let me tell you, it's a bitch to move it since it's CRT

And I'm still waiting until probably the next two episodes which is normally when the fit hits the shan, historically. well, we know there's at least 2 hours until the 'delivery system' is ready. I agree though, after the nuke things have slowed down, plus the 'traitor in high places' has gotten kind of old at this point.

CK sort of marches to the beat of his own drum...
I'm not exactly sure what the drum is playing, but I am thinking it's leaning toward the bizarre side of normal.
It's the beat of a drummer being pushed down 30 flights of stairs with his drumset falling right behind him.

wow, are you trying to rip out Starshifters heart, stomp on it, grind it into some glass shards, take a dump on it, stick it up Paris Hiltons vagina, let Kevin Federline lick it and then stuff it down his throat after sewing up the wound with week old umbilical cords?

Hetz, I have to ask, did you post that whole thing just to highlight Play magazine's 10/10 for Motostorm? He isn't one for subtleties is he? Give it a rest guys. apparently you're not allowed to post anything PS3, Elder Scrolls or 360 related anymore Anyways, is PLAY one of those UK magazines? for some reason that's the connection I'm getting in my mind, but if it's available in the US I may have to look into it.

I'm not really burned out anymore, but that's probably because I really haven't read a book all the way through in over a year. I just picked up Terry Brooks 'Armaggedons Children', the first part of a trilogy which tells the story that bridges the gap between his 'Word and Void' and Shannarra series.

Wrapped up the main story in Crackdown, played a bit of Zelda (about 7 hours in so far) and some Trauma Center (bah, I can't cut in a straight line on that game to save my life!). Other than that I finally caught up on the rest of my DVR recordings (we hateses you HBO for cancelling Rome! HATESES!!!) and finalized my search for my first laptop.
Oh, I also fired up Gametap for the first time in a month and played some Gun Metal and attempted to run Nocturne, which apparently has some graphics/gameplay issues- everyone was a shadow and one of the beginning cutscenes wouldn't run due to the in game characters trying to go through a door at the same time. I played through it before when it came out and didn't have any issues. Oh well, I guess playing it once was enough. I also grabbed the latest Sam & Max episode from them even though I still haven't gotten around to finishing the first one yet.

Anyone here old enough to remember its predecessor, Adventure Construction Set? Now that was some ancient RPGing. I had a notebook where'd I'd meticulously plot out adventures for that so I could create them on my C-64. Of course I never actually got around to making anything.....

I love this game too. LOVE. IT.
I started playing last night and before I knew it, it was after 3 in the morning. It's so much fun.
Stop it. It won't work. I'm NOT buying this game. You're probably right in not picking it up- the game would be too much for you. It'll be best if you just skip it.

Also, what weapon are you guys using when you get towards the end of the game? I end up using the one that looks like an M-60 because it holds 80 bullets in the clip and 800 total. It seems to be as powerful as any of the others (if not more so) and I can't hit headshots for shit unless I'm right next to the guy or using the scope. My Firearms skill is 4 stars, too.
I was using the same gun, but I actually ran out of ammo near the top of Wang's tower and ended up using a random gun and the Hothead missle launcher. My other gun was the Firefly launcher- I picked it up very early in the game and kept using it. I didn't get Firearms to 4 stars though becaues I used the Firefly alot.

I saw one award for throwing something more that 200 or so feet, but with my strenth maxed out nothing I ever threw probably went more that 100 feet. Was there something that I was missing?

My narrator is starting to lose it. I climbed the Agency tower, and he said "Look at that, Agent! Finest view in the city!" With a 360 degree panorama of all the islands, I couldn't agree more, what a nice little sound bite they programmed in!
And then a few minutes later, I jumped on top of a small gas station that I've repeatedly stood on since the start of the game. ""Look at that, Agent! Finest view in the city!" Well, I guess it's a nice view of that strip club across the street?
A bit later when I was trying to grab an agility orb on a pipe, I accidentally fell into the water in some industrial area. "Look at that, Agent! Finest view in the city!" Err...
The last straw was when I was attacking a boss and I needed to find some cover to recharge. I duck into this small windowless room, and sure enough: "Look at that, Agent! Finest view in the city!"
This guy needs a vacation!
Yeah, my Narrator was kind of wonky too. I loaded up the game and stepped away for a moment. So there's my guy, staning there, not moving at all, and the Narrator chimes in 'Great Ascent Agent!'. I have to look back into the room to make sure the game isn't playing itself. One thing they need to do in CD2 is refine the targeting system. Too many times I ended up targetting a corpse on the ground or an enemy that was further away from me than the guy right in my face trying to unload a shotgun into my chest.

well, killed the last boss with everything but driving and firearms maxed out. The ending was kinda interesting, but for now I've got too many other games to play to worry about 'achievements' and 'gamerscore' to go back and try everything.

I can totally see Sony releasing a patch disabling the PS2 hardware across all models once the emulation software is released. yeah, i deliberately got the ps3 ahead of schedule as much to get one with the ps2 hardware on board as anything, & will also be pretty damned disappointed if they do indeed disable it - it's worked perfectly since the last update... One reason why I'll be avoiding updating my PS3 like the plague. Yeah, I might lose out on the ability to play online and access their store (although there's ways around that already that I've seen), but I'd rather keep my 99.9% backwards compatibility. If they do I'm sure someone will probably hack the firmware like the did with the PSP and release it.
