It may be that these last two have been $7.99 because they are just released (as in, that day) albums from some pretty big name groups. I wouldn't be surprised if the $5 album of the week returns eventually.

they've had plenty of bigger name bands brand new albums at $5; they've been changing a lot of things so it wouldn't surprise me for this to be the new norm.
