if you were watching The Americans then you probably remember odd commercials for a show called The Bridge, which is FX's latest cop drama.  now if this was another network, I'd roll my eyes at the idea of another cop drama, but FX has rarely had a miss.  granted, this is adapted from some other foreign TV show, but if they didn't want us to steal it then they shouldn't have made it in the first place.  'MURICA!


what's it about?

Set on the border between El Paso and Juarez, The Bridge centers on two detectives, one from the United States and one from Mexico, who must work together to hunt down a serial killer operating on both sides of the U.S.-Mexican border.

of course this being FX I doubt things will be that simple, and even if the character descriptions sound typical for this type of show I'm willing to give them the chance to show where the story will go.

they should have called it Far Cry One.

hmm,do you mean when they inserted new CGi?(they did this with TOS as well,right?),didn't they do that with DVD as well?..or do you just mean picture quality remastered?

they remastered the CGI effects.  from IGN's review of the first season:

The show has been rebuilt from the ground up. Effects have been meticulously re-crafted and re-composited using the original film elements. Models, plates, mattes and other effects have been painstakingly redesigned to bring Trek to hi-def standards. To be frank, there has never been a restoration project this immeasurably daunting – not even the vintage Trek series remasters, which swapped real models for effective, but cheaper-looking CG. The love for this show is infectious, and it shows. The results bring TNG to near theatrical quality. In fact, the effects here top some of the theatrical features, especially Trek V and VII.

they haven't announced any news about it, so I'm only hoping they replace them; from what I understand they did the same thing with the original series episodes that they are streaming.

I have Turtle Beach X11 headsets and i love them,i would imagine it will be a few months before TB come out with anything new for the XB1

What do you mean what gets shown?  The stuff that's on the first page is just a small subset of what's currently popular.  They have 10's of thousands of movies streaming.  I would imagine if you're looking for a specific movie you have to do a search.

I find their website is better for looking for stuff, but they really need a proper new releases list.  the section they have isn't updated all the time.

So far, I don't see how this connects to the original Juarez stories, so it may just be a branding title that's been tacked on, but given how they threw it out and spat on it with the last release, I'm okay with that.

they could just be making it a brand like Call of Duty; don't forget up until Modern Warfare/Word at War they weren't interconnected beyond being able to kill Nazis.  I was planning on skipping this after the whole reveal but not I think I'm back in.
