I didn't read the article, but I think a big question is is he just saying that he approves and states should continue to vote on the issue, or that he thinks that there should be federal involvement. Very big difference for some people.
The former, unfortunately.

PeteRock is the 1%. The 1% who actually reads the books in Skyrim, that is. Heck, I've gotten to the point that I skip much of the dialogue. I love the game, but the lore does nothing for me.

I'm tempted by the prices on Avadon and Divinity II, they've also got got Metacritic scores. Does anyone have experience with either of them?
Divinity II isn't perfect, but I thoroughly enjoyed it. There's a good thread on it hereIt's even cheaper right now at Amazon: $7.99

More great deals - Deus Ex : HR is $10 (Gamersgate has it for the same price, plus the DLC is on sale) Divinity 2 : DKS is $8 Renegade Ops is $3
Quick correction: Gamersgate raised their price on Deus Ex: HR to $17.

My current PC can't do Skyrim justice, so I'll likely hold out until I get a new rig sometime around Black Friday. It'll be tough reading all the impressions around here in the meantime... unless it's a disapointment, in which case I will feel awesome for not buying it right away.

I couldn't figure out where I knew that name from until I Googled it today. He's the male half of She and Him. And I still don't want to spend $4 on his solo effort. It's a really good record, and it came out before She and Him existed. M. Ward was an established indie musician long before She and Him started. In fact, I assume Zoey Deschanel approached M. Ward based on her affinity for his music. You still may not like it, but I just wanted to clarify.

No thanks. The demo was enough to scratch the itch. Maybe I'll rent it, but there are other games I would rather play first.
Yep, I'm in the same boat. Madden is always appealing in the abstract-- with football right around the corner, I love the idea of diving into an NFL game to get hyped for the upcoming season. Yet, all it takes is one game of the demo and I realize that this is pretty much the same Madden and, meh, I don't think I want it after all. At this point, the whole "roster update" thing is kind of a played-out criticism, but could you imagine any other non-sports series releasing a full price sequel with this level of minimal improvements? Imagine a new Mass Effect which is exactly the same as the original, except it has new camera angles, a few more animations and grass physics. Who would pay $60 for that?

Yeah, once I got the mission, i hopped a horse and headed cross country to Kvatch. Gate's closed, me and Sean are running back across country for the next main story bit.
Then you're good to go. You can explore to your heart's content and level up as much as you want. But once you get to a certain point beware of trolls at every fucking turn. Sounds like the internet.

Seeing all of the late 70s trappings did my heart good; though the anachronisms in these sort of movies always drive me up the wall The movie ostensibly takes place in 1979, but they reference both Rubik's Cube and the Walkman - neither of which were introduced here until mid/late 1980. Incorrect! The walkman came out in July of '79, though you are right that it hit maximum mainstream penetration by the mid-80s. And the Rubik's Cube was released internationally by 1979, but I think it was not released in the States until 1980. But yeah, they both were unlikely to be part of popular culture in 1979.

Let's pretend that the hype wagon and forum effect for this game combine to stimulate an intense longing in my loins. Where can I find the best in store deal? Amazon is not an option when the need for immediate satisfaction is this powerful.
I think at this point Best Buy since you get a $15 gift card. TRU has the same deal. True, but do you want to expose children to CC? You've got it backwards. CC exposes himself to children.

The weather's been crazy all over, too, which may have delayed some things.
at first i thought you meant in the game..which leads me to this question, for those who have the game what is the weather like in the game, all i have seen is nice and sunny,is it always that way?(well apart from at night) well, it is L.A. Of course, the "Noire" part should mean you'd at least get some moody clouds or something.
