Err, I'm guessing this is satire or something? Because I don't get the connection with good service and being overly religious.

Scrolls by Mojang looks pretty interesting and so does the Anno game. Card Hunter I know is a good game. I can't believe there are at least 5 Warhammer games coming out! They must be raking in the licensing fees.

Were the ratings good? The number of posts in this thread tell a different story.

Yes, but tell us your thoughts.

Panzer Corps (Panzer General remake) has had a drop from $20 to $10. Matrix games rarely go on sale so pick this up if you want it.

On Tuesday night, Palin made an appearance on Fox News during which she mocked Boehner’s planned lawsuit.

“You don’t bring a lawsuit to a gunfight and there’s no room for lawyers on our front lines,” she said.

What exactly is she suggesting? That someone needs to bring a gun? Someone lock this woman up already.

Take it back. Maybe they'll have the bugs ironed out for the Surface 4

I am an Apple guy, so I am biased, but MS has a lot to learn from Apple as far as stores go. Employees needed the manager's help with the discount. The manager was busy playing Xbox and was quite annoyed that he had to help out. They were trying to get me a package deal with the warranty, case etc, which would have been cheaper, but they couldn't get it to work with the discount. Again the manager was too busy to care. I almost walked out due to him, but the employees themselves were doing everything they could to work it out and were very friendly. You could tell they were very embarrassed by the manager as well. I am going to see if I can leave store feedback somewhere.

Out of curiosity but we're you at a Microsoft Store? Sounds like someone needs to be looking for a new job.

Brazil is down their captain and their star player for them and they haven't really impressed the whole tournament so Germany could take them.

I wonder if having the time stop every time the whistle is blow would help get rid of these delays. Of course that would make the game a lot longer. They could reduce the halves to 30 minutes to offset that.

No but they do have the power to strip legally obtained TM's whenever they want apparently. So why not benefit mankind?

And I have no delusions about Snyder, but he's clearly not greasing the right palms.

Edit: I wish Pr0ner would chime in. I think he works in the patent/trademark field.

Aren't all trademarks legally obtained though? If you're not allowed to strip a trademark then what is even the point of having a process that enables that? I'm not sure that there's anything wrong with overriding previous decisions. Everything that is illegal was once legal.

According to my Facebook friends, the new argument is that Oklahoma means "red people," so we better change the state's name now too.
Tell your friends that they don't need to change the name, then just lose their trademark rights to Oklahoma. smile
21  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Re: Amazon's new product: Holographic 3D Phone? on: June 19, 2014, 08:57:20 PM
Yeah this would make way more sense for Amazon to make an app for the millions of smartphones that are already out there directing all those customers to Amazon's store.

The biggest problem I have with it is that we have a branch of the government deciding what is and isn't "offensive" based on speech. If you guys so clearly want to believe in the free market then why can't the USPTO sit back and watch the trademark wither away because the American people don't buy the products it's associated with?

Why is it is so difficult to understand that this is out and out racism.  Redskin is NOT a tribal name, nor is it a person's name.  It's a racist slur.  Indians have been trying to get it banned for ages.  This isn't a new endeavor created by a "PC crowd".  If there was a team called the New York Kikes or the San Diego Tar Babies, would that be okay?

And the American people have repeatedly proven that they aren't ALWAYS going to do the right thing.  As a matter of fact, if the government DIDN'T step in from time to time, we'd still have lynchings, whites only water fountains and segregation in many areas.

1. I never denied that it's offensive or racist.

2. Lynchings, whites only water fountains, and segregation are a far cry from a corporate logo and team name. In fact they're not even in the same ball park. We're not talking about basic human rights here, what we're talking about is hurting people's feelings. It's a slippery slope when the government starts making decisions based off of hurt feelings.
I'm willing to give you the benefit of the doubt but the fact that Zeke agrees with you could be a hint that you might be wrong on this one. smile

I'm guessing your joking but being a cowboy has nothing to do with race. Unfortunately this will be tied up in the courts for a long time. I wonder how long the team would keep their name if everyone started making merchandise without paying royalties. I bet they would drop their righteous anger pretty fast.

It's always been smoke and mirrors anyways. Why not change the message? How beneficial is all this cloud/dedicated technology for people who aren't signed up for Xbox live? If someone just wants to play single player, can they still take advantage of the building falling down technology without having to subscribe to Live?

I'm thinking about it. It's a Slitherine/Matrix game so you can feel fairly confident about buying it and not finding that it's on sale for half price the next month.

You'll have to register your key with Slitherine and they'll give you a Steam key.

There's some cussing, but nowhere near as bad and often as the GTA series.  I haven't seen anything regarding sex, other than some descriptions when you profile someone.  I heard you can spy on someone having sex but don't see anything.
Gratuitous violence and murder but no sex? America is going to love this game!

Wow that is pretty crap. That was GTA 4 and not 5? The shadows in watchdogs are atrocious (according to that video)
