I've not had insurance for the last year and we've found that in many cases providers will charges less because we're uninsured than we we would have been charged if we were insured.
We've also compared bills on doctor's exams and the 'discount' that insurance companies gave us brought the costs down to still more than we pay with out them.
Healthcare is a monopoly. Not sure universal healthcare will change that as the corporations are always one step ahead and willing to do whatever it takes to make a buck. Especially since no president repub or dem is willing to do anything about it when the dam breaks and we find out we've all been screwed.
Yikes, get some insurance man! Or move to Canada or something.

Funny how the top 9 "Ace of Aces" for the British all have the same score: 9,223,372,036,854,775,807... and yes, I'm aware of the significance of the number. I guess it's a known iOS / Gamecenter hack / exploit.
Just what exactly is the significance of that number? It seems like a pretty random number to me.

I'm just starting this game. What level of pawns should I be hiring? I'm only about level 8 but someone on my friends list has a level 24 mage. Would that make the game too easy or unbalance it? Would I not get the XP that I would otherwise? Do we have a thread for pawns? My PSN ID is Nexxsys

No posts in this thread since the end of April? Seriously people? What is going on here? The playoffs are on! I just watched the highlights of the Anaheim/Detroit game. Man, that game was NUTS! I love how games in the US arenas are absolutely off the chart intensity wise. The American fans sure know how to bring it.

Who the heck would want that on their shelf?
Yeah, wtf. This is what gives video games a bad name whenever there is a mass shooting. Who honestly thought 'hey, how about we include a misogynistic, bloody torso of a well proportioned woman as a limited edition'?

You're going to have a tough time getting that in a world where you can get refurbished versions for $79 and front lit devices for only $120. Heck the Kobo Aura just came out and it's front lit, 6.8" and 1440*1080 resolution. I just bought it and it was only $70 more. I'll probably be selling my 650 but I don't realistically expect to get more than $50 or $60 for it despite the fact that it cost me $240 just over 24 months ago. Welcome to technology. Try Mobilereads where you might have better luck with a more international audience but even there $100 might be pushing it.

Played some more last night. Tried it on the ps3 for the first time. Seemless cloud save is awesome. There's just something cool about picking up where I left off on a different device. Yay! 1080p on ps3!!!
Cool I might try that as well. Enjoying it even though I've never really played this type of game before. If only all games only cost $15, I would buy so many more.

Teach ESL at a junior/high school in Japan. I enjoy it a lot. Vacation days are ridiculous. I literally have more (paid) days off than working days. And my working days usually end by 2 or 3 pm. On the other hand I envy all who are living at home in their own country with a house of their own and a nice backyard. Maybe someday...

We cut the cable a couple years ago and do netflix, hulu + and NHL Gamecenter Live. There are some annoyances - I can't watch any Colorado Avalanche games, and and any nationally televised game is blacked out. The major annoyance is that the playoffs are not available through GCL. However, we've saved an absolutely *insane* amount of money by not paying the ridiculous cable fees every month. Overall, it's a plus. I might try adding an HDTV antennae, which would get me some playoff hockey, I guess, and we would have the option of watching some stuff when it aired. Dunno though, might keep things as is... we certainly have enough going on that we don't spend much time watching anyway.
Wait, what? The playoffs aren't available through GCL? They were when I had the service a couple of years ago! So does that mean that I've paid $50 for this year's GCL but I can't watch any playoff games with it? That's the whole reason I got it-I don't give a damn about the regular season.

Wow this game only got $17,000 on Kickstarter. We could have had a copy of the game for only $10! Missed out on a good deal there.

So from the other forums I've gathered that the game actually doesn't really need to connect to EA servers to play as they don't handle any of the computations and the reason for the traffic screw ups is the way that the sims are individually simulated when it comes to travelling between their jobs and their homes (spoiler:they're not!)

It takes that long to suck up all the money in Korea. Seriously, the guys at Blizzard have got the sweetest gig going. Most of the work was probably done for the first game and now for 3 years they just come into work late in the morning and do the crossword puzzle all day and collect a paycheck.

I might enjoy it more really depending on whether they change the direction a bit. I can only take so much of Jon due to his super partisanship these days... Colbert works much better for me.
You do realize he's only pretending to be a Republican, right? I don't find Jon that partisan. He often tears Democrats a new one.
