so MoH swaps out for an atv.  looks pretty decent, graphics wise.  tactical destruction and weapon mods in game.  sounds good.

with MoH mp, i don't have to wait for bc3 for the mp fix.  sweet

Huh...Medal of Honor was born on Playstation? I could have sworn it started as a PC Game, or was that just a false claim/info from Sony?

nope, the first one was on ps.  played it way back in the day.  allied assault was a few years afterwards.

you only own the content you download on PSN+ for the duration of your subscription...so you lose all the content if you go back to normal PSN?

that's it in a nutshell
6966  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [E3 2010] - Official Gaming Trend Coverage Begins on: June 15, 2010, 08:13:59 PM
yay, playstation subscription fees.  at least they deem to give you full games to play while you subscribe, and they don't try to charge us $8 a month to start.
6967  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [E3 2010] - Official Gaming Trend Coverage Begins on: June 15, 2010, 08:10:34 PM
the level creation stuff in lbp is pretty cool stuff, but i never bothered with the creation stuff myself.

the actual game though?  nothing except user creation stuff.  did they leave out an actual game this time around and just give us an engine?
6968  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [E3 2010] - Official Gaming Trend Coverage Begins on: June 15, 2010, 08:02:28 PM

games at $40,
controller at $30
camera at $40

they even beat the wii for cheaper peripherals

??  I read $50 + $30 for the controller.

yeah, my mistake.  they skipped past pretty quick

$80 for me, since I have the Eye.  That's with no games and no extra controllers.

Although it's nice to know I already have a lot of what I need.

i would venture that the game will be available separately.

Kevin Butler is the smartest marketing move Sony has done this generation.

great swelling music.  sure, he's aping stephen colbert, but at least he's consistent.

lots of good little barbs at the competition.

it reminds me a bit of trine, but if it's just a magic wand game, it won't hold my attention longer than a few hours.

it certainly looks better than the wii sports offerings that MS is showing us.

gt5 in 3d.  still, no release date though.

good 3rd party 3d/move support so far.  beats MS.

odd compilation so far.  what's the big surprise?

maybe MS will be smart, see all this possible misinformation about the price going around and actually give us the price.

doubt it.  they seem to want to save the price/launch announcement for their own conference.

Which conference is that?

It's already been announced that Kinect is launching November 4th.  They just haven't announced the price.

nothing specific, but it seems they all like to announce stuff at e3 then bring out the big news for their own.  are they not doing a MS only event?  speculation on my part based on not getting a price yesterday.

very small chunk of a glimpse at MGS 3d.  sadly, not enough to tell much about it other than it seems to be about big boss and titled Snake eater 3:  naked snake.

a sequel to peacewalker perhaps?
6989  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [360]Darkstar One: Broken Alliance on: June 15, 2010, 05:51:49 PM
played a bunch with the pc version way back in the day.  it was fun and from the looks of the achievements, they added some stuff that i don't remember doing like piracy.  it's on my rental list.

i wonder what Microsoft are thinking right now

I know this won't be a popular opinion but I just kind of feel like MS rolled over and died.  A year of build up and Natal just turns out to be aping the Wii blow by blow.  Almost no new game announcements or exclusives of note.  It's enough to make me wonder if the recent internal shakeup with Bach leaving signal signs of a loss of direction in the division.

after seeing the 1st party only collection of wii knockoff games, i have to agree with you.  everything else we already knew about, game-wise.  only big shock was that the slim model actually exists.
6992  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: The Force Unleashed II on: June 15, 2010, 05:44:20 PM
as long as they write in some more non-clone bosses to fight, i'll be happy.  give us one atop a moving at-at on hoth if you want to be extra awesome.

i do hope they keep the number of force immune stormtroopers down to a minimum though.

looks like force push just got an upgrade.  boom, facemelter.
6993  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [E3 2010] - Official Gaming Trend Coverage Begins on: June 15, 2010, 05:40:21 PM
safe bet is $199.  i really hope it isn't much more than that though.

hell, i wonder how much the games will cost for it.  same price or will this be the first handheld to charge $50 a game?

2nd time in as many months that i've regretted selling the wii.  not go buy one now regret, but a nagging feeling of missing out.

did they add an accelerometer to judge which way you are looking at it?  there was an iphone game/tech demo that did that a while back.  the 3d effect was like looking into a box.

it seems odd they didn't mention price or launch.  backwards compat/faux 3d effects applied to current ds games?  slim chance for sure.
