so this answer the question behind Ceekay.  'he' was hosted on their servers the whole time and using the power of the cloud to post at all hours of the day.

Are you saying Ceekay is like that Johnny Depp character in the new movie Transcendence??!??!

I don't know, haven't seen the movie yet.  it did have an interesting poster though

I think big action movies, comedies and visual masterpieces (Gravity, maybe?) are well suited as you get the big sound, screen or the first responses from a crowd.  I saw the Cornetto trilogy movies in theater and nothing beats the crowd laughing at the unexpected joke or bit.

it's also something cool (even while it's odd) when a crowd applauds for the movie after it ends.  I had that happen once.

The scary thing is that even if he never came back, it would take several decades for the other high-ranking posters to catch his post count at current posting rates,
you would actually need to script a bot to overtake him.

really?  damn, that sucks.  if that's true than man Ceekay, I'm very sorry for that.  (guessing that he may be reading this even if he isn't posting.)

I also beat the good playthrough last night and went about trying to get some of the random act trophies like the comet drop and the 45 second flight.  I then restarted to go evil.  I really wish they had let you skip cinematics, but it does help show that Delsin changes as a character during the playthrough.

Strange that after seeing quite a few people mentioning ESO last week (as technically some of the preorders started on Sunday), nobody is mentioning it this week.

Well, I will, as I'm all set for playing it on Tuesday. Here's to hoping it goes well.
I got as close to buying this when I let the closed beta access expire before I'd even downloaded the client.  maybe I'll try it when it goes F2P in a few years.  i'm not big on mmorpgs but I would like to see the rest of Tamriel

so, the gang's back together now.  although I didn't see Beth in there.  wow, Rick's gone over to the dark side again.  they way he took out that guy was pretty gruesome, but I don't think I could have let him go either, were I in Rick's shoes.

at least now we know how well Terminus is guarded.

going to be a long wait until season 5

Well thanks to somebody doing the weekly releases for me (and much earlier than I normally do, too Tongue ), I guess I should post them up earlier in the day too.

So... Let's take a look.

What are you buying this week?
Mercenary Kings is out on PS4 this week as well and it's also the PS+ free game of the month.

happy to help.  it was easy as I had the release calender data all ready so it's not much to output a day's listing.

as for this week's releases, I'll put the goat on my wishlist and hope for a good summer sale.  it looks stupid enough to warrant a few plays.  not much interested in this week other than Merc Kings, which I'd actually have considered buying.

Ha, you guys would go nuts if you had to sleep where I do. Recently moved into a much smaller apartment than I had for quite awhile and had to put my 2 computer desks in the bedroom. It's quite a light show, with the modem, router, NAS, and various standby lights. The modem is the worse since it always has flashing lights going. Unless I tossing and turning it doesn't usually bother me. If it does, I arrange an office chair to block my direct eye site at the modem, but it still does a good job lighting up the wall next to it.
if NAS is too bright, maybe you should have him go outside Tongue

147  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Orbis. aka PlayStation 4? The rumors are put to rest. on: March 29, 2014, 11:58:17 PM
a lot depends on the router you have and which flavor of 802.11 you have and whether you have anything else using bandwidth at the same time.  my setup is a little different (PS4 wired, N300 Asus router) but I get decent enough performance even at work.  played both AC4 and Infamous on it and only got occasional graphic degradation.  it was very playable though.
148  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: [Ps4] inFAMOUS: Second Son on: March 29, 2014, 11:52:30 PM
the flying controls are usually brought up when people talk about it on trophy/achievement forums.  I wouldn't know as I haven't played enough to be annoyed with it.

I intend to go for the platinum here myself.  be the second one after Uncharted Golden Abyss.  (what a drag that was)
149  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: LEDs too bright at night, and using blackout tape on: March 29, 2014, 04:20:13 AM
my wife is this way.  I grew up occasionally sleeping in a living room, so no light or noise bothers me now.

I did read that those little blue lights can actually make your sleep worse though, so I've taken to covering up as many as possible.

it is pretty bad how fad games like these get remade without any note towards the original idea.  all you can hope for is that the knockoffs are recognized as they are.

well, I finished this up last night.  It's a fun diversion, but there really isn't much of a challenge if you take your time and explore.  It says I got about 8 hours out of it, getting all of the upgrades and mined materials.  Not sure I'll go through it again on PS4 but I may try a 'no death/2 hour run' to see if I can make it.

not sure what the best method is to get the blimp to spawn, but I did rack up 6 battleships in one attempt.  the little challenges are still fun, but some are a huge PITA.  getting subs is easy whenever I'm not using the mod that needs those kills to advance, for instance.
