Not sure what changed this time, but first group I hit had 2 of them and I managed to get the trophy off the second after stunning the grunt up to level 5 and doing exactly what I did yesterday.  Fire arrow, execution, trophy.

10 minutes or so later, beat the game and got the plat.  This is one of the few games where going for all of the trophies was fun and aside from the 2 hours I played yesterday, enhanced the game with all of the side objectives.

Spoiler for "About the ending":
We need to forge a new ring.  I guess that means we can look forward to a sequel?

Funny, it looks like a April fools day joke.  How long until it just get added to Kindle tablets and as an app?

$100 for something that looks pointless? Our phones already do all that and more. Bozos has lost it, stick with e-Ink readers.
It does tie in more than Siri/Google Now seems to, but that's probably more due to my lack of use of those services.

I like the idea of a hands-free unit, but it doesn't do enough to wow me into a purchase.

What does it do you can't do with Siri or Google now? In the Apple ecosystem your phone is already tied to your computer more and more.

hmm, let's tally what it can do that your phone can't.
It plays music
A)  from library
B)  from streaming services
It searches spelling, definitions and information
It sets up alarms, task and shopping lists
It reads news and weather

yup, it's basically a smart phone with all the power of a dead battery and no cell service.  :/

Outcast shouldn't take too long if you just want to assault the guards and skip the optional objectives.  Weapon missions take longer as you often have rigid fail conditions which can wreck an attempt.

I am on the last mission and only have one other trophy to go for, the execution on a flaming berserker.  Haven't had the good luck to execute the right one, which is annoying to see.

You can shoot them with a fire arrow, then execute them. It's easy if you have the double combat finisher ability unlocked.
I tried that for almost two hours yesterday.  I went through the motions, had them glowing with blue fire and hit the execution and got the ground execution animation.  Game didn't count it as an execution though, only a burning death.  had that happen twice.  Also tried branding them then tossing them into a fire, but that didn't work.

I've found a few different videos of some alternative methods, so I'll try that.

You have to make sure they are Brutes for it to work, Just find one of the big guys with two axes and you should be able to do it with the fire arrow into execute combo.
Oh, I am.  I think the game was counting it as a death by fire instead of by sword.  I had other near calls with a caragor joining in and taking him out, having the berzerker run after I headshot someone standing next to him, having a branded captain join in and getting the last hit.

I've got to try these two methods:  leave the berserker for last, then throw him into a fire, hit the R3+L3 to do the unlimited executions, then hit him.  Try the fire pit in a stronghold after letting the alarm go off for a target rich environment.

that lists all of the platforms?

It really sucks to see this [PS3,360,PS4,XB1,PC] as the most recently commented on thread and then have no idea what it is.

If we have to stick with it, can we move it after the game title?
After would work, but if you drop the info altogether you'd have people asking what platform it's for.  Maybe if it's not fully cross compatible, like in the CoD thread, it works ok as you already know that it will be targeted at all platforms.  But for the two AssCreed games, it makes more sense to specify which platforms it's coming out for.

tbh, it doesn't bug me as the thread titles rarely extend past the screen on mobile.

At least the game throws you a bit of xp whenever you die so you can theoretically get better when they do.  It doesn't help early on when your powers are so limited, but once you get the wraith stun, you don't have to fear anyone except in groups or if they have poisoned range spears.

That's one tactic I used on a few of the almost unkillable ones.  Stun, hit them until just before you do the final combo hit (ie, when a combo master will block you) then stun em again and repeat the pattern.  Best part is, you can always count on those trackers to follow you when the main horde gives up, so you can isolate them.  Even if you end up with two captains at once, you can still stun lock them, although it will take a bit more work.  If you can keep up the stun pattern until they go green, then it makes for an easy execution (and supposed perma-death).

I am on the last mission and only have one other trophy to go for, the execution on a flaming berserker.  Haven't had the good luck to execute the right one, which is annoying to see.

I actually got the level 25 rune with some good gaming of the nemesis system, first by letting one of the bodyguards rank up before I took out his warchief.  I then let him kill me, which is harder than you think when he has 3 other high end captains as bodyguards.  I hit him twice with his only fear (burning) and turned one of his guards to even the odds.  I actually got the 'brand 5' before getting it as my thrall took the chief spot, then picked up and got a decent enough rune out of it.

That one was fun to go for, as was the one where you kill a chief who killed you to become a captain.  That ended quickly though as I grabbed him right after he became chief and wraith-killed him.

It may not be my goty, but it is definitely in the top 5.  The nemesis system and the death system is the best addition to open-world games since cougars were added to RDR

Played up past the 2nd boss and found an area born from a side quest.  Got my everloving ass kicked in there so I'm going to explore the areas passed boss #2 and work on leveling up.  So far, the combat is nice and varied with each weapon you find.  I started as a cleric but that hammer was so damn slow to swing that I'm now shield and staff or 1H axe.  What I've tried of the greatswords/hammers/axes leaves me hating them due to their wind-up time.  Against fast movers, you will be cut very quickly, and most of the big enemies are fast enough to leave you little time to parry/dodge and hit.

I've also tried the different armor classes and there is a lot to be said for all of them.  Light lets you roll like crazy and get in a good combo, heavy armor lets you stand and parry or block and not worry about the small damage and medium makes a decent enough compromise between them.

There are enough secrets in the game that you should explore them all and getting comfortable with the enemies attack patterns.

It's a bit surprising how good the game is, although I haven't played much of the souls' games to compare it to.  Sadly, I think it chose poorly when it came to release date as once this year's big franchises hit, LotF will be pushed back into standby.

And with a great resetting of the clocks, this year's onslaught begins.  CoD AW hits with all the subtlety of a Michael Bay movie written by Jerry Brucheimer and filmed with Roland Emmerich.  Are you getting it or skipping CoD '14?  We also have a good showing of re-releases and physical disc copies of downloadable games.
