No worries.  Have you tried the mobile app?  I opened it around 6:10 PST and they had updated by then.

I have no idea why I added Planetary Annihilation to my haul, but I did.  By many accounts, it's not all that great.  However, the chance to buy a game that's normally 60 bucks (or higher, as the initial buy in was) for 17 bucks was just too tempting.
I admit this was part of it.  but a moon being used as a weapon just seems too cool not to try.

The vote options include Planet Explorers, but it's either off or going to be the same price as the previous sale, so I'm safe for now.  I'm tempted by ARMA 3, but I know I won't be playing it any time soon.

I really enjoyed DI and Riptide in co-op.  being able to coordinate against the big zeds, all the while watching over each other's backs for extras joining in.  With more friendlies and more zeds, I think this will be another great game for mp.

Yup, didn't load up WD.  Played Terraria altogether too much, especially considering I've already done most end-game content on the PC.

Valiant Hearts got some good buzz at E3.  I wasn't expecting it so soon.  Unless the reviews are bad, I'll get that.

The Swapper was really cool on PC, but I didn't get to play it much.  For some reason, I can imagine it working well with a controller.  I'll probably pick it up again.

Pretty much my plan, but Steam sales are killing me.  I didn't expect to get much, but I've already added several titles to the old pc backlog.

Only snagged the Euro Truck DLC, Octodad and an indie space combat game, Salvation Prophecy as it was 75% off.

149  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Books Read 2014 Edition on: June 18, 2014, 03:19:04 PM
I've read a few, but after two zombie post-apoc fiction books in a row, I think I'm taking a break from them for a while.  The first was Apocalypse Z: Dark Days, which was a sequel to this one and not half as enjoyable.  Part of it is due to the change of perspective and the ragged approach to story-telling.  Also, I don't think the translation from Spanish was done all that well this time.

I did read Hugh Howey's Sand which sets up a great premise for a post-apoc, just like Wool did beforehand.  It's a more concise book than Wool was and doesn't lead up to a sequel series, which is actually refreshing for a change.

Going back to my other I've tried and bailed on The City and the Stars by Arthur C Clarke.  It's one of his earlier books but it's really dry.  I was hoping for something akin to Runner by William C. Deitz, as in a story set in a post-civilization timeframe in the far future.

I decided to go back to the Expanse novels and am now reading Caliban's War.
