What type of items (stat wise) should I be holding onto to sell on the RMAH? It's hard for me to tell from just doing searches on the auction house as you can't see completed auctions.
+Vitality and at least one other primary attribute +Resist gear (in particular +All Resist) +Damage rings / amulets (although it's currently impossible to search for these properly, so their AH'ing value is minimal until that bug is fixed) +Attack speed (which is basically +damage, of course) weapons, gloves, rings and amulets (I don't think it shows up on anything else) +Crit Chance / Crit Damage +Life on Hit (or other healing bonuses, but my sense is that +Life on Hit is currently more prized than the others) +Sockets are always good, too -- especially on helms (for the +% life gem) or weapons (for the +damage ruby or +crit damage emerald) +Reduced Level Requirement (primarily on L60 items, as this lets people below 60 use end-game quality gear, which gives you a much larger market to sell to) Of course, just one of those things generally isn't enough to make an item AH-worthy, I find...but if it has two or three (or more) than it's worth considering. You also have to pay attention to the magnitude of the bonuses versus the item level: if the attribute bonuses are only +25 or something on a L50 item, it's trash regardless of whatever else it might have. All of that said, I'm far from an expert at the game or the AH, so others may have better suggestions... EDIT> Oh, and I forgot +Magic Find and +Gold Find, which are obviously popular things to have, although I've never searched from them on the AH myself, so I have no idea how much they're selling for. - Ash Thank You, that really helps

Question, I decided to try out the wizard tonight and was getting beat up early on, until I got a 2 handed blue ax from a chest at around level 5 and decided what to heck i'll equip it and see what happens. Well after I did this I was pretty much one shotting everyting with my magic missle. I thought that was odd and re-equiped my starter wand and sure enough I was back to having a tough time. Is this the way it's suppose to work? I equip a 2 handed ax that has better DPS than my wand an even though I'm not actually using it to kill anything it makes my spells more powerfull?

Great game as Diablo is my all time favorite game(s). This is the 1st game I actually went to a midnight release. One thing I was thinking about last night is about the real money AH. Is there anything in place stopping someone from buying something from the gold AH and then throwing it on the real money AH to make a real profit?

Sony obviously wants me to download Virtua Tennis because I can't find it anywhere. I really don't want to go digital download route because me being able to sel them when I'm done is what helps me fund this hobby!
I had to order mine online to be shipped. Best Buy didn't stock it. Hell, I couldn't even find any reviews of it for a long time. Amazon doesn't even have stock unless you want to order thru a third party seller with high shipping costs

For everyone else's reference - the thing you don't want on the PS Vita is the 'blinking blue light of death', where the home button just blinks blue over and over and nothing will happen.
I held the power button for about 20 seconds and it brought up a sort of PS Vita 'safe mode' screen (reset, safe mode, format memory card).
Hoping this doesn't become a recurring issue.
I picked up a Vita after work and I've already seen this. I left it downloading the update to Hot Shots Golf and when I came back, found it in that state. Don't know if the long-hold on the power button is what we're supposed to be doing but as noted it allowed me to restart and after that it was fine. The notification was there that the download had completed and next time I touched the big orange update icon it installed it. I believe the PS button will blink/glow blue when you have a notification, which sound like what happened here as the notification was the the hot shots update had completed.

Fuck, my OLED has some serious "mura" I can only notice it when I'm playing in complete darkness and when the screen is completely black.
I read that is normal for OLED screens

I'm having trouble locating the AR games on the PSN Store. What are these things called? Sony tweeted that the AR games were available, but their US store is an unorganized mess.
It's the free games on there (Fireworks, cliff diving and I think 1 other)

I finally saw a demo unit today, with Wipeout playing on it. I have to say the screen is so awesomely beautiful it almost made me cry. Really, the thing is an impressive piece of hardware.
I agree this thing is incredible. I had a PSP and really did not like it at all. The Vita really is like having PS3 in the plam of your hand. I hope that the Vita does well because I really think Sony has brought something to the market this time.

So what games does everyone have? I'm really loving this thing and ended up selling a bunch of 360 games I had around and bought way too many games(though I did still have a couple of gift cards for best buy I used). I got:
Hot Shots Golf Wipeout Rayman Origins Uncharted Dungeon Hunter Alliance FIFA Marvel vs Capcom (not sure I'll keep this one, I'm finding out i'm just not very good at fighters) Little Deviants (came with bundle) Super Stardust Delta

I'm still playing quite a bit, but my play time is sporadic at best with a 3 year old constantly wanting my attention. Sometime I get on with the intention of playing for awhile but only end up getting 1 match in. I see you guys on when I'm on but I'm hesitant to join in knowing that I may have to quit after only a few matches.

Thanks for the tips pete! I am having a blast playing, and you are right there are maps that I am better at than others. There was a map we played last night that I have never played and if not for a last minute killing spree I would have had 0 kils Any recommendations on attachments and/or weapons?

Is there any tips you guys can give me on getting better? This is really the 1st time I've gotten into the multiplayer portion of any of the COD games, but boy do I suck! I think I'm averaging around 3-5 kills per match with a high once of I think 10. I really like playing with the group here but I'm getting tired of dying all the time and seeing you guys get 20+ kills per match. It seems like I'm getting 1 shot alot, whereas I have to pump 3-4 rounds into someone before they go down. I'm currently level 21 and using the scar, with the red dot sight and heartbeat sensor as my attachments.

Had alot of fun playing with crew here last night. I probably was the reason we lost soo many matches as I had alot more deaths than kills. Question what are you guys using for headsets? I'm still using the headset that came with the xbox and it is less than stellar.

4 hours of game time and the stats page is still telling me only 3 percent done. This is gonna be one long game. So far I'm loving it, but would it have killed them to include an actual instruction manual instead of a licensing disclaimer and a mini-catalog for merchandise? The game just throws stuff at you, gives you a minimal set of instructions then expects you to go with it. It's my only real complaint about the game, but it's certainly annoying. I also need flight lessons as I cannot grasp the nuances of dive bombing and gaining altitude. I keep failing one of the VR missions because I can't figure out how to give myself a boost in altitude. And I do need to avoid the aforementioned button mashing during combat. I think there's a trick involved, but I'm not getting it yet. It sounds like there are some combos that play off precise timing when pressing the attack buttons, so I don't think the devs intended it to be a complete button masher. questions: I was having problems with VR mission of dive bombing then glide. The key is do not let go of the A button (xbox 360) when you go into a dive bomb

Just picked up my LCE and speed wheel, feedback on the wheel to follow.
One thing about the speed wheel to help everyone out. If you aren't experiancing any vibraion feedback turn the controller off and then back on in game. I'm hoping this is a bug with the game and will be eventually patched. Other than this and the lack of RB & LB the wheel seems to be very responsive and accurate.

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / DS games for a 3 1/2 year old
|

My son is or will be 3 1/2 by Christmas and wants Santa to bring him a DS. I know he's rather young for one but all of our friends children (the youngest being 5) have them and he's the only one that does not have one and this is where he came up with wanting one. So anyways I'm leaning towards getting the 3DS because of the recent price drop, but really have not a clue on what games would be suitable for him. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'm loving this game, but I'm having a strange technical problem with it. First off I'm playing on a laptop with an i7 cpu, gtx 460m, 6gb ram, windows 7 64 bit. 1st day game ran with no problems at all on high setting with aa off and shadows set to medium. Now the 1st time I load it after booting up my laptop it takes forever to load the save file (5 min +) and once it's in game I'm getting around 5fps. The only way I have fixed this is to reinstall video drivers and then it works fine (loading save file less than 15 sec, 25 fps). The thing is I have to go thru this process each time my laptop is booted up for the first time that day. It only happens with this game and no others. I have tried all sorts of video drivers from nvidia, currently using the latest beta driver. Any thoughts on what may be causing this?

Hackers claimed that they have the credit card info including the CVV2 and offered it for sale in underground internet forums."Supposedly the hackers selling the DB says it has: fname, lnam, address, zip, country, phone, email, password, dob, ccnum, CVV2, exp date," he said, referring. The less obvious acronyms refer to credit card holders' first name, last name, credit card number, and credit card security code.
And... Reports began trickling out yesterday from PSN users about recent fraudulent charges on the credit cards they used for the PlayStation service. An employee of GameFly Media tweeted that a colleague's card was used to buy $1,500 worth of goods at a grocery store in Germany. Meanwhile, a reader of gaming site VGN365 said his bank had informed him of a fraudulent $300 debit card withdrawal this weekend. And another person reported on video game forum site Neogaf.com $600 in fraudulent withdrawals.
If you had your credit card or debit card info on PSN, I think it is a good idea to cancel your cards. How did the hackers get the CVV number since that was never given to PSN?

I've got it and being a huge baseball fan this is probably the best one they have put out yet. The new analog systems are very well done, especially the pitching. There are 2 areas that do need improvement and that is the commentry is getting stale and supposedly the franchise is not working correcly but that is just based on the forum over at opoeration sports. Ask away if anyone has any questions

Well my desktop is hardwired and the only other things connected wirelessly are axbox 360, PS3 ipad and 2 iphones. My only options in the netgear router configuration is the speed, which I selected up to 300mbps and the channel.

I ended up getting the WNDR3400 for $69.99 My wireless N card is rated to goto 150 mbps but I'm only getting 75 mbps, any ideas why?
Did you check the Netgear setup screen? IIRC, there is an option to set the wireless mbps rate. I think it describes the settings as "neighbor settings" to avoid interference with close-by wireless networks. Yes I made sure I'm on a channel no other neighbors are on and also set the mbps rate to 300 mbps. I know it's using wireless N but my wireless card can goto 150 mbps. The odd thing is when I switch to a different channel it will connect at 150 mbps but then within 30 seconds drop out and reconnect at 75 mbps??
