There's some other videos on my Youtube channel of Spinner Dolphins we saw and some White Tip Reef Sharks that we were lucky enough to come by during a day dive, as well as more from the Manta dive. Please check them out, too!
Heh. Already checked them out. I live in the burbs around L.A. so all my diving has been done in the cold, gloomy California coastal waters as well. The kelp beds always have some interesting critters around them, but nothing like your trip. Great videos!

That's pretty damn cool, leo. I've done a couple night dives and I've never seen anything remotely as incredible as that. How deep were you? And what kind of camera/housing were you using?

SP was boring they said, which is disappointing because that's what I was looking forward to the most.
Really? Battlefield, more than almost any other game, strikes me as one with a superfluous single player campaign. It feels like lamenting the lack of single player in Counterstrike. +1

If you do end up with a patch, I say own it and get a naval captains cap. And a navy blazer, and a pipe. You're a teacher, right? I think it works.
He can only sell this if he starts talking like the Sea Captain from the Simpsons.

Is there a way to get a cheap Iphone refurbished without using as a phone? I want to use it for apps and wifi only.
I believe that's called an iPod Touch. You can get refurb stuff direct from Apple's online store.

Toe, while that's a brilliant painting I think the funny posted by the Moose was emphasizing how European artists were striving for realism in light, color, and proportion while the Japanese focused on comic books. Also, there's this tidbit of historical fact: No, it's just a regular one.

... Portion sizes in 1960 compared to 2000 • Beer can: Then 12 fl.oz.; now 12-24 fl.oz. ... Wait, this is supposed to be a bad thing? Sorry, but I'm going to have to call hooey on that one. It's not a bad thing due to calories, it's bad in that it takes longer to drink a 24oz can/bottle and the beer will naturally get warmer. Sticking with 12oz, you can keep the second one in the cooler longer.

A pic of a frail Steve Jobs. Ugh. I'm not a huge Apple fan, but I respect everything Jobs did for Apple and computing in general. I really hope that he can come back from this, because he doesn't deserve to go out like this. Deserve's got nothing to do with it. I never figured him for the "little black dress" type. Is that a Jobs-ian hospital gown or something?

How did she figure out where the portal gun was? The correct first question is "Why can't I find nude photos of her?" Kids these days, I swear.

Not to burst anyones preseason bubble but the way a team plays and their record in preseason is completely meaningless. Hang your hopes based on the preseason at your own peril. A few years ago the Detroit Lions went 4-0 in the preseason and looked really good doing it. There were pundits predicting that the Lions would be a playoff contender and were finally on their way. The Lions proceeded to then set a record that can not be beat but only duplicated as they went 0-16 in the regular season. So remember this one simple truth, a win in the preseason doesnt count for squat.
Now I wish the season had gone to 18 games just to see if the Lions could break their own record.

Peter Parker is known as Spider-Man, if you're not going to have him play the role why not make a totally new hero?
Since they killed Peter Parker (and I haven't read it), why can't a new person take up the hero code name? Peter's heirs still hold the trademark.

Just be careful with making holes in your walls. From what I understand that sometimes voids homeowner's warranties and fire safety code... I know here in California it's against code to run power cords through the wall without it going through conduit. Low volt A/V stuff is just fine though.

She's still being held on the charges of which she was found guilty. It's not like she just walked out of the courtroom onto the street today. She'll walk on Thursday after the sentencing. Even if the judge decides that her four counts be served consecutively (4 years total), having served 2.5 years already she'll be out with time served and probation.

Saw this last night... good stuff.
Beast looked like some sort of reject from the 96 Island of Dr. Moreau, and the hairdo on Mystique made her head look friggin' ginormous, Betty Draper has the acting talent of a can of corn, and I'm not sold on anything about Jennifer Lawrence but her rack... but it was a good movie.
Lawrence already has an Academy Award nomination. I'm not sure what you're missing. Halle Berry has an actual Academy Award and I'm not sold on anything about her but her looks.

I'm not sure what your point is about people who haven't loaded their music onto their computers yet. They still have to subject themselves to that chore in order to take advantage of Apple's match service. I mean, if your're just talking about the advantages of Cloud storage, in general, no question its useful and desirable. But there are other competent solutions out there. This is how I'm imagining it will work. If I put an old CD in, iTunes comes up and asks me if I want to rip the files in - I hit yes and a few minutes later they are in digital format. After that's done, it asks me if I want to iMatch them, and I say yes - assuming it was something in their database, essentially I'm done. If not, I have to upload the files. Either way it's then a part of my iTunes/iCloud and I can choose to (or not) bring them into any of my other Apple devices. I have no doubt there are other useful/competent solutions available, but if you are like me and have a random mixture of iTunes purchases, CDs already ripped, and CDs not ripped, this sounds like the easiest way to get digital access to all of it in one place. It's the combination of the match service + the cloud service that appeals to me because of how I've largely not managed my digital "collection". They claim they have 18 million songs or whatever, so chances are they'll have the majority of my CDs already in their database and I won't have to bother with the whole upload process. Am I being lazy? Sure, but to me that's the whole thing with the Apple products/ecosystem, finding the path of least resistance. But that's exactly what will happen with my music right now using Google Music. The Google uploader runs in the background and is pointed to my Music folder, the same place that iTunes is going to rip my music to. So I do what you imagine doing: 1) I grab a CD that hasn't been uploaded yet. 2) I rip it into iTunes and now have it available in the same manner I've always had iTunes music made available to my iDevices. 3) Google Music uploads the tracks into the cloud automagically, without consulting me in any fashion and without me needing to do a single thing. 4) Viola ... shortly after I rip the tracks (I'm guessing 10 minutes tops) my new CD is available in the cloud, ready to be streamed to any computer or my phone. Also, with a touch of a button, I can tell my phone to download any tracks I choose to my SD card, so that they are available for offline storage on my phone. Apple's solution is elegant and awesome. It will also cost me $25/year. Google's solution does the exact same thing (currently for free), and it is just as elegant and awesome. Of course, the ultimate question will be what Google ultimately charges for all of that storage. I don't think you can have a real comparison until we know that, but if the G solution stays free, I will never be tempted to pay for Apple's match service. Interesting, but what does a viola have to do with it?

I went with "boss you hate and double the salary". Accidents happen, you know. Sometimes they need a little help along the way, but they do happen. Or, you can drop some LSD into his morning coffee and have you and his other unhappy subordinates act out a re-telling of "A Christmas Carol". If he doesn't transition into the Ebenezer Scrooge turnaround, you can resort to the accident advice previously noted.

Went with one of my older clients to buy him one at the Apple store. We went right before close this evening. They were completely out of wifi-only and the lower-storage 3G models. We got him the 64gb Verizon model and he sent it home with me so I could play with it tonight and "figure it out".
The build quality, speed, and "comfortable-ness" are outstanding. The included cameras are an abomination. I'm guessing higher res cameras will be a big selling point of the next model.

It would be nice if newscasters didn't sound so excited during disasters. They love the extra attention. Christian fundamentalists attributing the earthquake on Japan's secular society, homosexuals, and abortionists in 3...2... I expect a certain Baptist church out of Westboro to be booking plane tickets as soon as they have an airport to land at.

Is Thor supposed to look like a younger James Hetfield? One look at that picture and "Enter Sandman" immediately started playing in my brain.
