161  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / System Discussion: Nintendo Revolution on: May 17, 2005, 05:36:09 PM
A quote from

· Freedom of design: A dynamic development architecture equally accommodates both big-budget, high-profile game “masterpieces” as well as indie games conceived by individual developers equipped with only a big idea.

162  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / System Discussion: Nintendo Revolution on: May 17, 2005, 05:33:49 PM
And there's the Revolution - you can purchase ALL non-handheld games EVER created for ALL Nintendo systems into the console.

"So we can feel young again."

And it'll be ALL titles - not just Nintendo ones, based on the titles he listed.

Don't screw around. Is that true? I'll crap my pants if that is true.
163  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / System Discussion: Nintendo Revolution on: May 17, 2005, 04:28:21 PM
Good point.

P.S. I forgot to mention the nine-year-olds who think "blood = teh mateur!"
164  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / System Discussion: Nintendo Revolution on: May 17, 2005, 04:24:22 PM
Nintendo seems to cater more to the general public than hardcore gamers.

As opposed to Sony or Microsoft? Those two are the companies whoring themselves to horny little teenagers.
165  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / So where do you stand right now? on: May 17, 2005, 06:01:03 AM
So far Microsoft and Sony have left me unenthused. I'm kindof interested in the PS3, but the 360 really doesn't have any mindshare at this point.

Waiting for Nintendo to blow my mind.

I'm sure I'll end up getting all three, as usual. Right now the Revolution is the only thing I'm really interested in, though.
166  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / System Discussion: Playstation 3 on: May 17, 2005, 01:16:20 AM
Why does Sony still insist on having the D-pad under your thumb instead of the left stick? I mean, MS and Nintendo figured out that every game uses it for the main control input, yet Sony still puts it down in the middle. I really don't get it.

Was wondering the same thing.
167  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / What you don't know about Vin Diesel can kill you. on: May 16, 2005, 02:38:02 PM
60% of the time, Vin Diesel works...every time.

Anchor Man was a funny movie.
168  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / XBOX 360 is on the cover of Time Magazine on: May 16, 2005, 01:28:50 AM
Well, it can't suck any worse than Halo 2 did. I'm done with that series, man. Halo is simply ass, pure and simple. The first one is great up to the first encounter with the Flood in the swamp, then is just boring until that final mission. Halo 2 is flat-out awful start to finish. I might play it when it's available for rental, but Bungie's since lost me as a full-price paying customer.

Amen to that. Microsoft is gonna have to do better than Halo 3 to get into my pocket. Mistwalker (it is Mistwalker right?) is the only thing keeping me even remotely interested in the 360.
169  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / The Forum Plan for E3 on: May 15, 2005, 02:42:52 AM
Cool. It was you who did the forum-update thing last E3, right? I recall refreshing the page about a million times, hehe.

Last month, the online casino paid $15,100 to a Connecticut woman to name her newborn

So wrong... so very wrong.
172  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Stella Deus: The Gate of Eternity is out... on: May 01, 2005, 03:44:09 AM
The ending to FF9 was one of the highlights of gaming to me. Moved me to tears, everything about it was glorious, the music matched the scenes perfectly. FF9 was so much better than FF8 in every single way.

FF10 sucked.

Hell yeah. Sing it brother.
173  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Final Fantasy Tatics type game on PS2 or GC? on: April 29, 2005, 03:57:03 AM
You need:

GameBoy Player
Fire Emblem
Final Fantasy Tactics for PS1.

And watch out for FE for the Cube.

drool And I though DW8 was the only thing left on PS2 I wanted. Damn SRPGs!

I'll have to keep my eye on this one I guess.

177  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [DS] Nanostray needs more love!! on: April 11, 2005, 06:42:27 PM
I have my eye on this one. Hard to say if it'll be good or not, though. I can say that it is a really pretty game.

Here is to hoping it is Ikaruga good.

I love E3.
179  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / What music is kicking your ass? April '05 on: April 05, 2005, 03:15:08 PM
Bach's Goldberg Variations performed by Rosalyn Tureck (I also like some of Glenn Gould's Recordings too)

If you like Classical music at all I'd definitely recommend getting Turecks CD.
180  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / I don`t agree with this at all, do you? on: April 02, 2005, 12:36:54 AM
You're posting in the wrong place. CG is mostly populated by Xbox/Sony fan-boys, rarely a good thing to say about Nintendo. (There are exceptions of course.)
181  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / If you have Wipeout, you can use the PSP as a web browser!! on: March 27, 2005, 06:43:31 PM
It's a big step.

182  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / PSP - When does Nintendo get scared? on: March 25, 2005, 11:57:22 PM
They should be scared. They suck at hardware development. Period.

Don't know much about hardware, do you?

Ugh. I mean the N64 was a blurry mess, because of the damn cartridges.

As opposed to the crystal clarity found on the PS? Please, if it wasn't pre-rendered it looked like crap.
183  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / I officially hate Fire Emblem on: March 19, 2005, 10:46:56 PM
ROFL. You know what is sad you guys? This game is one of the easiest in the series.

I didn't mind the save system.  I thought it was pretty cool, actually.
184  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Legend of Zelda Pre-order Bonus - Holy Cow! on: March 06, 2005, 04:43:51 PM
Reeeeeeeaaaaalllllyyyy? Got any info on this? (The third "coloured ball o' magic" that you earned always seemed a little easy, like there should have been a dungeon there.)

Yeah, just as Tebunker said. And yes, there was a dungeon there originally.
185  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Legend of Zelda Pre-order Bonus - Holy Cow! on: March 06, 2005, 12:25:54 AM
I know they cut dungeons fro WW, it really would be nice to play them (with the original graphics, though.)  That is a good idea for a bonus, joke or not.

188  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Anyone else watch American Dad? on: February 08, 2005, 02:49:29 AM
It was decent. Some funny stuff, but nothing that makes me care if it ever has another episode.
189  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Final Fantasy Tactics Advanced on: February 08, 2005, 02:36:19 AM
Very disappointing game. Doesn't even begin to hold a candle to the original.

The graphics are very nice.

The classes suck, nearly all of them are useless, and most classes share way too many abilities (meaning two or more classes get the same skill) The truly unique skills are mostly useless.

The battles are so easy, it isn't even funny; the only challenge comes from judgements, which are both stupid and annoying.

Music isn't memorable.

Story is laughable at best(some cute stuff that was kind of funny), could be forgiven if the gameplay was up-to-par.

It is worth playing, but I'm ticked a bought it new for $30, $15 would have been better.
190  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / your 2005 'sleepers'... on: February 07, 2005, 01:49:25 AM
Fire Emblem

Nintendo DS:
Another (Can't wait for this adeventure game, one of my most anticipated DS titles)
Mistwalker Strategy RPG (I don't think it is title yet, but sure has my attention)

Earthbound 2 (Mother 3)
Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones

Playstation 2:

Dragon Quest VIII (An American sleeper, anyway.)
Shining Tears
191  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Thinking about getting a Gamecube... on: February 03, 2005, 11:42:28 PM
Where do I begin?

Ok, you definitely want some Wavebirds. Best controller ever. And I would also recommend the GameBoy Player.

Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker (Brilliance, although a little easy for my tastes.)
Super Mario Sunshine (Didn't love the water pack, but didn't hate it. The oldschool levels are tons of fun)
Metroid Prime (Outstanding game)
Paper Mario (Very fun, and funny)
Ikaruga (Old school goodness. Excellent game)
Luigi's Mansion (Only bad thing about this game is that it is a little short.)
Viewtiful Joe (Wicked oldschool beat 'em up, one of the smoothest action games ever)
Wave Race: Bluestorm (A Favorite racing game of mine, tons of fun.)
Mario Kart: Double Dash
Eternal Darkness
Super Monkey Ball 2

There, that oughta get you started.

On that same note: why isn't "Three", "Threety"?

Where do get off posting that GameCube top-ten garbage? It wasn't even inventive or well written.

Am I alone here in thinking this was an incredibly childish thing to post? Honestly, I was under the impression that CG was more professional than this.

Get bent, Schleicher.
