Strange just tried logging in and it tells me I dont have a subscription when I know I do bob I guess I have to create one even though it says I have 27 days left?
Bcarle, this is more carefully spelled out when you log into your account page at the SWTOR site. You'll see big icons on the left side with checkmarks on things you've taken care of, and non-checkmarks on things you haven't done yet. In my case that included the subscription signup yesterday, so that helped me figure out what I needed to do there. I also had some confusion before I saw that. Just keep in mind that if you didn't enter your payment info and choose payment intervals (monthly, 3-month, 6-months) at some point, that's what you need to do to be considered a "subscriber" per se. afik, Early Access is not part of the 30-free day period -- the 30 free days kicks in as of the moment you activate your subscription by providing payment info (regardless of whether something is indicating 27 days now). Info here, I meant to post it in the news thread, just too swamped at work yesterday: Get ready to play - activate your accounthttp://www.swtor.com/community/showthread.php?p=637778#edit637778Why do I need to sign up for a subscription?
You first 30 days of Game Time are included in the purchase of any edition of Star Wars: The Old Republic, but you must add a valid payment method to activate your account. This method of payment varies by country, but includes most major credit cards plus ELV and Paypal (in some territories). Please visit our Billing and Subscription FAQ for more details. You can also activate your account using a Pre-Paid Game Time Card, available at most major retailers.
Whenever you activate your account, your 30 days of free Game Time will begin. When using a credit card, ELV or Paypal, you will not be billed for your second month of play until your 30 days of free Game Time is complete. You may cancel your subscription at any time in your first 30 days of play. Your unused Game Time will still be available on your account and you can still play until this expires. Ok I'm back in now

My Dad and I are both Vietnam vets. He was there in 67 - 68. I was in the service in 72 but never made it to Vietnam. All my dad ever mentioned was that they were always told by the locals when there was going to be a mortar attack and sure enough there would be. He never told me anything else. He came back in 68 just before the tet offensive and was going to reenlist but was told by a buddy that he would go back to Vietnam -- he got out after 20 years in the Air Force. I know he would have stayed in for 30 ( he loved the service) so it must of been pretty bad in Vietnam for him to get out.

I agree, it has to be hard to sing together and at the same time know that you might be the one gone. I have to say that they sounded really good together. Some interesting Duo combinations if they wanted too. I am curious about the couple that was chosen in the beginning. Are they going to compete against someone else 2 on 1 ? Wish it was on at 9 vice 10.

I agree the talent was a mix. It also seemed rushed as they had to pick the rest of the 8. they only took 3 the first show I think. Overall the battle rounds sound pretty interesting. Also I found it amusing when the judges tried to explain why they did not choose someone. (not well crafted reasons).

I saw this the other night. Surprised at the quality of the contestants. Enjoyed it, so did the wife. A nice change from American Idol

Had mine done 3yrs ago. It was a local and the doc did it pretty quick with no problems. Had a couple sharp pains after the local wore off but other then that I took a couple of days off just in case but didn't really need to. It was a lot simpler then I thought it would be.

We dropped our land line a couple of years ago. I don't miss it at all. We have Verizon and have great access. Only thing I think about is an emergency. Will 911 find me okay if I can dial but not speak my location. Cell phone gps should handle this but in the back of my mind will it delay response.

I know exactly the one you're talking about and have the entire series at home. Edit: Joel Rosenberg is the author. The series is " The Guardians of the Flame." The first book in the series is "The Sleeping Dragon." After checking out the link it appears I only have the first half of the books in the series. Mostly because it got pretty bad by that point. Hmm, after reading all the way through your post this may not be what you are thinking of but it sure sounds like it. Thanks that does sound pretty close to what I recall. I will have to check it out. Thanks Again bob

There was a book about a group of people playing Desktop DnD game and when the Game Master thought they were ready he ported them to the game world. They woke up in the game world and destroyed some of the boxes then GM had left for them. At least that's what I recall.
Does this ring a bell ? Not sure how long ago I read it and I don't think it was a series of books (could be wrong).
Thanks

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Dragon Age Game Issues Thread

Tough DLC question. I have most of my DLC downloaded, however 2 rings are showing up under the 'Downloading' tab in-game. They are currently both at 0% and don't move. I had no problem downloading any other content (Wardens Keep, Blood Armor, etc) so I doubt it's a firewall/anti-virus/admin issue. One of the rings is the memory band.
Any ideas?
I had a simlar issue and it turned out that the Dragon Age service found when running services.msc from the run command was set to manual start. After I started it the DCLs downloaded and installed with no problem. bob

I sometimes have a similar problem on my laptop. It says I am connected to my network but not the internet. when this happens I reboot or do the repair option and it will then say connected to network and internet. I think a couple of times I had to do a hard reboot on the cable modem. Probably not related to your problem though.

I had an issue once and I called paypal. Took two calls (and waiting to get someone) who could explain things -she was able to tell me what was going on and what to do and had it cleared up the next day, might not hurt to call them and see what they have to say.

I had all 4 pulled at once, and I was so scared of the horror stories people told me, I took a week off and had it done at the hospital under anaesthesia, even stayed over night (all covered by insurance). I was worried for nothing, felt great the next day and enjoyed the week off. As usual worried for nothing.

I had a stress test about 3 yrs ago. The test went ok, no problems found. Now the funny part.
They were putting the lead patches on me and I passed right out. They wanted to send me to emergency but I reassured them that it was a common thing. This use to happen on blood tests all the time but the past few years it hasn't bothered me. I still tell them that I might pass out or get really dizzy, just for a heads up.
I took it as a sign of reassurance I was not meant to be in the medical field.
