I've been waiting for this one. I forget where I heard about it first. But anyway, between my fondness for roguelikes and the cheap price, I'll definitely be getting it on release. Can't wait.

turns out this is just a new Spider-Man title.
Yeah, I read about this. It's pushing Spider-Man as adventuring in the big old Marvel universe. Doesn't he do that enough in Avengers and FF? (And guest-spots like Heroes for Hire and such)... I'm definitely passing. I enjoy what the writer's doing in Amazing, but this sounds like fluff. I'm not sure how I feel about the DC reboot. They had a lot of meandering titles going, but to ditch everything and start fresh - I don't know. Haven't kept up with Batman as of late. Wasn't a Morrison fan, and the other titles just seemed to keep rolling on. All tales of the Batman, but nothing of much import happening. Maybe that changes?

Bunnies were the first creature I saw. Didn't realize they were new.
Haven't really gotten into this yet, as the interface is a little awkward at the moment. That plus slimes showing up constantly, and my not having auto-pause set to "on" as I tried to figure out what I was doing. Expecting my next attempt should go a little better.
But hey, it was only $10 and with patches still coming out adding new "stuff", I'm pretty sure I'll get my money's worth.

I picked this up last week and I love it. I wasn't sure if I would, considering the reviews that said it was so similar to last year. But MLB Life mode, (and this year's version of Success mode), are entertaining enough for me. I've taken a SS through Success mode and and starting his second year in MLB Life. When I get tired of that, I play a game or two of Season mode, with my Success guy imported into fantasy drafted team. I also want to run a pitcher through Success mode eventually too....and I haven't even unlocked any of the stadiums/uniforms/etc. yet. Biggest difference I like about MLB Life as compared Road to the Show is that good performance allows you increased playing time. In last year's RttS, I had a couple guys who were doing great and yet I was stilled benched arbitrarily. Maybe they fixed that but it definitely turned me off to it. I'll probably try the Show again when I pick up a PS3, and since that's not anytime soon, hopefully there's be a new version, or it'll be on sale.

I got fed up with the crafting (big surprise there), diplomacy is still worthless (and probably always will be) and lost interest in the questing/adventuring. Plus my old characters were a different server than everyone else, and I wasn't thrilled with the new character I made on the GT server. Bottom line is that I'm out for now, but it was nice visiting. I could always come back in the future.

I just finished week 1, and with comfortable margins, though I was surprised at the fact I could feel it in my shoulders after the first day. (Not so much after the 2nd, and just completed the 3rd so...). I was going to post on the tracker, but didn't feel like wrangling with code, so I'm just using my own spreadsheet. Easy so far, but I see what's up ahead, so I know it's going to ramp up pretty severely. Add to the fact that I want to jog/run on a couple of my off days each week and I should be in for a pretty good workout.

I actually enjoyed a lot about Vanguard when I played it long ago, but the technical issues were too much hassle, and then everybody left the game. Because of the free month, and the new computer to play it on, I tried again, and am enjoying it. Whether you feel it's "empty" or not is up for interpretation, but there does seem to be a lot of people on trying the game again.
I figure I'll play it this month, see whether I want to continue afterward. The biggest issue for me will be the conflict between solo-able content and the areas where you need to be grouped. If there still is a point where you pretty much can't do anything without grouping, I'll probably be out again. Fun while it lasts though.

Full-stylus control? Ouch - that doesn't bode well for me. I know it's the main DS draw, but I'm not usually a fan. I have one of the older Summon Night games in my backlog, & will probably tackle that first. If I'm overwhelmed by the fun, maybe I'll look into picking this up too.

Thanks, Zimix.
I did a bit of a research about it and found that you could buy the game (a physical box) for $19.99 from a local EB Games (or Gamestop) store, it's currently not available in their online store.
Or you could buy a digital version from ebgames.com for $29.99 and download it (~17GB). I am not sure why the digital version is so much (50%) more expensive, considering there is no merchandise involved other than bandwidth. I don't think I am going to download it for $30 (or for $40 from SOE).
I was actually doing some other shopping and stumbled across the Vanguard Collector's Edition being sold by J&R Music and Computer World via Amazon.com for $12.97 (probably plus shipping). If anyone was thinking of checking the game out again, it might be a cheap option for someone.

Stations around here are trying their best to not be the first in the area to charge $4 or more - after years of various price differences, they're all hovering right at $3.99 at the moment. Incredible....
My little kiddie-car Yaris used to cost about $25 to fill.. now we're about up to $35. /shrug Not much I can do.

Couldn't get into it, though granted, my multi-player experience with it has been limited, and I know that's the best part. That said, I love unlockables, and haven't even bothered to go about it - just not holding my interest. Might be playing it some this weekend with a college friend. Maybe it'll change my mind a bit.

I hadn't played this either, and picked it up from Steam. It's great fun and the best part for me is you can play for short bursts of time. I can catch my brother online and race a few tracks very easily. Huge variety of tracks and just a great balance between challenge and fun.

I'm on the fence about it.... back in the old, old days, I played this a ton just single player. Got into a league (or two for awhile?) and that was fun. Then had to drop because of real life demands, and haven't gotten back into it much. Have a version sitting right here on the laptop but can't remember the last time I played it.
OOTP9 looks fun from what I've seen but I'm not sure I'll get enough play to make it worth the purchase.

I'm glad to hear that the combat system in interesting/intriguing rather than different/difficult. I had some reservations about it when I first read a description. My copy is in transit and I'm looking forward to playing something new. Thanks for the impressions.
