1601  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Best fighting game for 360 on: February 05, 2009, 09:29:23 PM
I've enjoyed all of the games mentioned. They're all in long-running series and you basically should know what to expect from each of them.
1602  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Super Bowl XLIII on: February 02, 2009, 03:38:33 AM
Great game. I can't believe they didn't put that final fumble to the booth though. I certainly thought it moved forward from Warner's momentum, it was at least worth a review.
1603  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Re: Amazon MP3 Daily Deal (keep it updated!) on: February 01, 2009, 05:48:40 PM
Sweet, grabbed the motown one... been meaning to get some oldies for my playlist so this was a cheap way to grab some good ones.
1604  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Red Alert 3 Impressions on: February 01, 2009, 02:20:13 AM
I haven't tried skirmish... but I could be up for trying some time...
1605  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Bloodbowl - Warhammer/American football/fantasy football on: January 31, 2009, 03:47:04 PM
I used to play the Games Workshop game, and I loved the faithful turn-based pc game from back in the day. Assuming the reviews aren't horrible I'll definitely pick this up.
1606  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: It's Tax Time! on: January 29, 2009, 04:27:49 AM
I think ours will be close this year... wife has to work it out (she's an accountant). Fingers are crossed though!
1607  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Duels of the Planeswalkers on: January 26, 2009, 02:02:45 AM
The deck-building question is my main holdout right now. IGN's hands on preview didn't seem sure how that was going to be working...
1608  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Duels of the Planeswalkers on: January 25, 2009, 03:00:20 PM
I haven't played MTG in years, but I would totally pick this up on arcade as a cheap way to play some again.
1609  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Outlander..a Chris roberts movie..ya the Wing Commander guy on: January 18, 2009, 04:11:53 AM
Hey, it obviously wasn't great, but I still found the WC movie enjoyable. Could have used some Hammill though... I do agree though, I wish they'd get back to making some games as the genre could really use the help. Too bad Digital Anvil only laster a couple years.
1610  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Wheelman on: January 15, 2009, 04:59:40 PM
Anyone have any more insights into this? Looks like it could be fun and the couple comments I've seen from people with advance review copys were positive. I haven't seen much buzz for it though.
1611  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: My girlfriend snores... on: January 08, 2009, 04:03:15 AM
I like fans too, but I don't have a ceiling fan unfortunately. We have a noismaker thing, but it just doesn't make the right pitch to cancel out the noises...

The main problem is I just don't think I can buy her as a martial arts expert... that said, I'll at least give it a go on netflix if I don't see it in the theater. I too enjoyed the campy Dead or Alive movie despite its many many flaws.
1613  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: My girlfriend snores... on: January 07, 2009, 10:16:20 PM
Anyone have suggestions for some really comfortable ear plugs? I am a super light sleeper and even loud breathing will drive me nuts if I'm awake. I sometimes end up in the other room from my wife, and it's pretty sad since it is just breathing...
1614  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Re: Big 360/PS3 game sale at Best Buy 1/11 on: January 07, 2009, 01:21:36 AM
in for ng2 if it's true. Should be able to resell for that if I don't like it...
1615  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / 360 games FS/FT on: December 29, 2008, 05:54:37 PM
I have some older games available for trade or sale. Most interested in trading as a bunch for a newer game, but if not would trade for other games or sell cheaply.

Viva Pinata (the original)
Tiger Woods 2007

While I'd have to discuss with the wife, Viva Pinata: Party Animals, and Lego Star Wars Trilogy (4-6) could be available as well.

Nuts, ordered a couple weeks ago from deepdiscount, though the price was still pretty good, nowhere near that.

Haven't been watching due to grad school. Does WB post the episodes online?

I used to play Fantasy Battles, Bloodbowl, Necromunda, and a bit of 40k. Loved it. Hopefully I'll get some of my friends now to start...
1626  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: GHWT or Rock Band 2 on: November 06, 2008, 12:56:50 PM
Wow. I'd been learning GHWT since I thought the drums were supposed to be better and I likes the song list a bit more, but the sentiment here seems to be pretty overwhelmingly in RB2's favor.

Thankfully in regards to the note chart my wife plays med-hard and I play med, so that's at least a bit less of an issue. Well, unless i hear a compelling argument for GH (I'm still listening) I'll probably go GHWT.

1627  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / GHWT or Rock Band 2 on: November 05, 2008, 12:21:22 PM
Given that my wife and I do not have a drum kit or mic (only have previous GH games), which should we get for Christmas? We could always end up with both games, but definitely only want the instruments from one.
1628  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: [Comics] When will I learn? on: October 28, 2008, 03:11:35 AM
Well, if you do post them, I'll take a look. I'm doing comics, but my pull-list is only like 6 or 7 issues a month now, so it's not demanding too much money. Plus I still buy some tpbs. Of course my comic art collection is more pricey... although I've been good and selling things as of late in case I make any big future purchases.
1629  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: In which I pimp the new Fallout 3 site on: October 08, 2008, 08:36:05 PM
My main concern is that sites have indicated the game doesn't have the humor of the previous games... that was always nice to balance out the setting...
1630  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: CHUCK IS BACK! Chuck vs. The First Date Spoilers! on: October 07, 2008, 02:23:15 AM
It hasn't yet, which makes me sad  crybaby I miss it for Tae Kwon Do, and all I want to do afterwards is see Chuck, but the NBC gods are thwarting me.

Just finished the game (about 50 hours for me). Had a good time pretty much all the way through. Go pick it up.

1635  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Why are there no Warhammer Online Impressions thread? on: September 28, 2008, 02:38:42 AM
I'm enjoying it, despite the fact that I'm playing at like 10 fps until my new computer arrives (it came once... on its way back to be made right...). Can't wait until I level up for bigger scenarios and the sieges. My current system can barely do PQ and simple scenarios though. I think it would give up on those.

Tredfim - Engineer

I joined the forum and such a while back. In the game, do I just type /who wanderers and ask to join or what else do I have to do?
1637  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: The Wanderers & Warhammer Online on: September 24, 2008, 09:16:04 PM
OK, ready to go. Questions...

1) Can we still join the guild on Ostermark? If so, are there classes that are really needed (e.g. I was thinking Engineer for order)

2) Same question for Chaos (and what servers is the guild on)?
1638  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: September 15, 2008, 02:30:42 AM
Where did you get 30k from? I know that is a lot below vgchartz's estimate.
1639  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: September 14, 2008, 03:06:53 AM
Anyone done with this? I'm at the point everyone is talking about the final battle tomorrow. Is that the end? Wondering if I can wait to look for more side quests or if I should do them now.

*** Update *** You can definitely go do the side quests at that point.
1640  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise on: September 13, 2008, 08:02:37 PM
If you have too many types of pinatas, sell some off. It's the best way to raise money anyways.
