Just picked it up today after finishing Fable 2.. will get thoughts up once I get into it.
1524  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (2/23) on: February 24, 2009, 12:38:21 AM
I would buy Star Ocean for 360, but I have to finish Fable 2 first.  It'll be coming soon though.
1525  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: ER Dr Carter returns on: February 23, 2009, 03:02:11 AM
Yeah, with Dr. Carter back I might even tune in even though I haven't watched in like a year and a half.
1526  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Night at the Museum 2 on: February 22, 2009, 06:43:15 PM
That trailer might have given away a lot of scenes, pretty long. That said I really enjoyed the first and will definitely go see this since it has all the original cast.
1527  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: My Name is Bruce on: February 15, 2009, 03:48:26 PM
Wasn't it 1.5 million? I thought they said they could make 133.3333 movies with a $200 million budget. Gonna be out of town, but then I'll watch the Heart of Dorkness extra for the details.
1528  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / My Name is Bruce on: February 15, 2009, 04:54:48 AM
Just watched it... certainly not a classic film, but a fun watch if you're a big Bruce Campbell fan like me. Lots of inside jokes from his movies and books and some great extras. Film is a bit slow with limited action, but still fun.
1529  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Square Enix to buy Eidos? on: February 13, 2009, 04:32:17 AM
I would totally buy a Lara Croft rpg...
1530  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Rock Band - What is your band name? on: February 12, 2009, 04:29:58 AM
Evil Monkays

1532  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Holy crap. I just realized it's been 10 years since I joined GoneGold. on: February 11, 2009, 10:27:39 PM
Where do you find the profiles?
1533  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: XIII the mini series on: February 11, 2009, 10:24:44 PM
Any more impressions before I devote an hour and a half to this?

All of the Jim Butcher - Dresden Files series (*****)

Daemon - Daniel Suarez (** 1/2) - Very interesting concept and some nice twists, but first time author is evident

1535  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: All Time Box Office Winners- Adjusted for Inflation on: February 10, 2009, 02:37:52 AM
Also note economies of scale have occurred so movies can be shown for less than the increase in inflation over the years.
1536  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: What are you doing with your tax refund? on: February 10, 2009, 02:35:03 AM
Still waiting for the accountant wife to figure it out (our taxes are complicated this year). Will let you know when I find out if I lose or get money...
1537  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Holy crap. I just realized it's been 10 years since I joined GoneGold. on: February 10, 2009, 12:45:13 AM
Hmm, now I'm going to have to figure out when I joined GG...

On a side note... Blackjack, I think I was actually at the Nox event in Virginia with a friend too (if it was in Northern Virginia)! I wasn't the OGR guy but that was the only release event like that I've been to. It was actually a pretty fun, if limited, game.
1538  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Overlord 2 on: February 09, 2009, 02:51:28 AM
The first one is on its was via goozex, so we'll see how that goes.
1539  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Michael Cera flips out on: February 08, 2009, 04:37:44 PM
Whiteboy... not sure where you saw that

http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/01/29/arrested-development-movi_n_162156.html

Multiple similar reports from a week ago where Cera was still the only hold-out.
1540  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Re: LF: HOMM V + Star Trek games on: February 08, 2009, 04:33:42 PM
Don't have those, but I could be interested in Sam and Max season 1.
1541  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: 3 more days til HALO wars demo on: February 08, 2009, 04:32:56 PM
I was unsure on this but all I see is positive buzz. Doubt I'll get it this week as I have a small backlog, but I'll definitely grab it sometime in the next couple months.
1542  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Michael Cera flips out on: February 08, 2009, 02:59:46 AM
I'm still annoyed at Cera for holding out on the proposed Arrested Development movie when everyone else has signed on.
1543  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Most underrated 360 game in your opinion on: February 07, 2009, 12:44:05 AM
I'm only a little ways into it, but I'm really enjoying Naruto: Rise of a Ninja. I haven't seen that discussed much on the forums, but it's worth a play.
1544  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Best fighting game for 360 on: February 05, 2009, 09:29:23 PM
I've enjoyed all of the games mentioned. They're all in long-running series and you basically should know what to expect from each of them.
1545  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Super Bowl XLIII on: February 02, 2009, 03:38:33 AM
Great game. I can't believe they didn't put that final fumble to the booth though. I certainly thought it moved forward from Warner's momentum, it was at least worth a review.
1546  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Re: Amazon MP3 Daily Deal (keep it updated!) on: February 01, 2009, 05:48:40 PM
Sweet, grabbed the motown one... been meaning to get some oldies for my playlist so this was a cheap way to grab some good ones.
1547  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Red Alert 3 Impressions on: February 01, 2009, 02:20:13 AM
I haven't tried skirmish... but I could be up for trying some time...
1548  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Bloodbowl - Warhammer/American football/fantasy football on: January 31, 2009, 03:47:04 PM
I used to play the Games Workshop game, and I loved the faithful turn-based pc game from back in the day. Assuming the reviews aren't horrible I'll definitely pick this up.
1549  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: It's Tax Time! on: January 29, 2009, 04:27:49 AM
I think ours will be close this year... wife has to work it out (she's an accountant). Fingers are crossed though!
1550  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Duels of the Planeswalkers on: January 26, 2009, 02:02:45 AM
The deck-building question is my main holdout right now. IGN's hands on preview didn't seem sure how that was going to be working...
1551  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Duels of the Planeswalkers on: January 25, 2009, 03:00:20 PM
I haven't played MTG in years, but I would totally pick this up on arcade as a cheap way to play some again.
1552  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Outlander..a Chris roberts movie..ya the Wing Commander guy on: January 18, 2009, 04:11:53 AM
Hey, it obviously wasn't great, but I still found the WC movie enjoyable. Could have used some Hammill though... I do agree though, I wish they'd get back to making some games as the genre could really use the help. Too bad Digital Anvil only laster a couple years.
1553  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Wheelman on: January 15, 2009, 04:59:40 PM
Anyone have any more insights into this? Looks like it could be fun and the couple comments I've seen from people with advance review copys were positive. I haven't seen much buzz for it though.
1554  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: My girlfriend snores... on: January 08, 2009, 04:03:15 AM
I like fans too, but I don't have a ceiling fan unfortunately. We have a noismaker thing, but it just doesn't make the right pitch to cancel out the noises...
1555  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: movie - Street Fighter IV The Legend of Chun Li on: January 07, 2009, 10:19:12 PM
The main problem is I just don't think I can buy her as a martial arts expert... that said, I'll at least give it a go on netflix if I don't see it in the theater. I too enjoyed the campy Dead or Alive movie despite its many many flaws.
1556  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: My girlfriend snores... on: January 07, 2009, 10:16:20 PM
Anyone have suggestions for some really comfortable ear plugs? I am a super light sleeper and even loud breathing will drive me nuts if I'm awake. I sometimes end up in the other room from my wife, and it's pretty sad since it is just breathing...
1557  Non-Gaming / Steals and Deals / Re: Big 360/PS3 game sale at Best Buy 1/11 on: January 07, 2009, 01:21:36 AM
in for ng2 if it's true. Should be able to resell for that if I don't like it...
1558  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / 360 games FS/FT on: December 29, 2008, 05:54:37 PM
I have some older games available for trade or sale. Most interested in trading as a bunch for a newer game, but if not would trade for other games or sell cheaply.

Stranglehold
Conan
Viva Pinata (the original)
Tiger Woods 2007

While I'd have to discuss with the wife, Viva Pinata: Party Animals, and Lego Star Wars Trilogy (4-6) could be available as well.

Nuts, ordered a couple weeks ago from deepdiscount, though the price was still pretty good, nowhere near that.

Sigh, haven't checked the site in a couple days and missed it.
