1521  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / 360 games FS/FT on: December 29, 2008, 05:54:37 PM
I have some older games available for trade or sale. Most interested in trading as a bunch for a newer game, but if not would trade for other games or sell cheaply.

Stranglehold
Conan
Viva Pinata (the original)
Tiger Woods 2007

While I'd have to discuss with the wife, Viva Pinata: Party Animals, and Lego Star Wars Trilogy (4-6) could be available as well.

Nuts, ordered a couple weeks ago from deepdiscount, though the price was still pretty good, nowhere near that.

Sigh, haven't checked the site in a couple days and missed it.

Haven't been watching due to grad school. Does WB post the episodes online?

I would have, but it's on my bday/christmas list so I can't buy it  icon_frown

1531  Gaming / Analog Gaming / Re: Warhammer 40k: Assault on Black Reach on: November 06, 2008, 09:31:16 PM
I used to play Fantasy Battles, Bloodbowl, Necromunda, and a bit of 40k. Loved it. Hopefully I'll get some of my friends now to start...
1532  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: GHWT or Rock Band 2 on: November 06, 2008, 12:56:50 PM
Wow. I'd been learning GHWT since I thought the drums were supposed to be better and I likes the song list a bit more, but the sentiment here seems to be pretty overwhelmingly in RB2's favor.

Thankfully in regards to the note chart my wife plays med-hard and I play med, so that's at least a bit less of an issue. Well, unless i hear a compelling argument for GH (I'm still listening) I'll probably go GHWT.

1533  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / GHWT or Rock Band 2 on: November 05, 2008, 12:21:22 PM
Given that my wife and I do not have a drum kit or mic (only have previous GH games), which should we get for Christmas? We could always end up with both games, but definitely only want the instruments from one.
1534  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: [Comics] When will I learn? on: October 28, 2008, 03:11:35 AM
Well, if you do post them, I'll take a look. I'm doing comics, but my pull-list is only like 6 or 7 issues a month now, so it's not demanding too much money. Plus I still buy some tpbs. Of course my comic art collection is more pricey... although I've been good and selling things as of late in case I make any big future purchases.
1535  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: In which I pimp the new Fallout 3 site on: October 08, 2008, 08:36:05 PM
My main concern is that sites have indicated the game doesn't have the humor of the previous games... that was always nice to balance out the setting...
1536  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: CHUCK IS BACK! Chuck vs. The First Date Spoilers! on: October 07, 2008, 02:23:15 AM
It hasn't yet, which makes me sad  crybaby I miss it for Tae Kwon Do, and all I want to do afterwards is see Chuck, but the NBC gods are thwarting me.
1537  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: October 06, 2008, 09:27:01 PM
Just finished the game (about 50 hours for me). Had a good time pretty much all the way through. Go pick it up.

Yup, caught this on hulu last night. Very nice to have the show back on.
1541  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: Why are there no Warhammer Online Impressions thread? on: September 28, 2008, 02:38:42 AM
I'm enjoying it, despite the fact that I'm playing at like 10 fps until my new computer arrives (it came once... on its way back to be made right...). Can't wait until I level up for bigger scenarios and the sieges. My current system can barely do PQ and simple scenarios though. I think it would give up on those.
1542  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: [WAR] GT Wanderers, please post your in-game names on: September 25, 2008, 03:48:29 AM
Tredfim - Engineer

I joined the forum and such a while back. In the game, do I just type /who wanderers and ask to join or what else do I have to do?
1543  Gaming / Multiplayer Madness (MMO or otherwise) / Re: The Wanderers & Warhammer Online on: September 24, 2008, 09:16:04 PM
OK, ready to go. Questions...

1) Can we still join the guild on Ostermark? If so, are there classes that are really needed (e.g. I was thinking Engineer for order)

2) Same question for Chaos (and what servers is the guild on)?
1544  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: September 15, 2008, 02:30:42 AM
Where did you get 30k from? I know that is a lot below vgchartz's estimate.
1545  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: September 14, 2008, 03:06:53 AM
Anyone done with this? I'm at the point everyone is talking about the final battle tomorrow. Is that the end? Wondering if I can wait to look for more side quests or if I should do them now.

*** Update *** You can definitely go do the side quests at that point.
1546  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise on: September 13, 2008, 08:02:37 PM
If you have too many types of pinatas, sell some off. It's the best way to raise money anyways.

1548  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise on: September 12, 2008, 08:43:17 PM
Don't need to have played the first game, although it would certainly help you hit the ground running. Gameplay is almost identical outside of a few minor additions and edits. Even some of the animations and such are the same.
1549  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: September 12, 2008, 03:49:48 AM
I'm now about 2/3 of the way done (I think) and still enjoying it. Grab it if you have any interest.
1550  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: September 08, 2008, 09:32:50 PM
Nope, but  I haven't really looked. The world map works on once you have been to a place and I generally didn't have too much trouble finding the locations. Only once or twice where it was a bit too ambiguous for me.
1551  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: September 06, 2008, 03:36:39 PM
Arg, finally hit another boss posing difficulties, at the end of the 2/3 mark. I wouldn't mind, but there is a really long discussion beforehand that you can't skip through very fast.
1552  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Viva Pinata: Trouble in Paradise on: September 06, 2008, 04:13:22 AM
Mine arrived today, but I'm in the middle of Tales of Vesperia... what to do...
1553  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What are you buying this week? (9/1) on: September 01, 2008, 03:51:49 PM
Viva Pinata 2 is pre-ordered smile.
1554  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Re: $12 for Stranglehold for 360 unopened on: September 01, 2008, 12:56:42 PM
Taken smile. Not sure I have time for it now, but at the price I don't need to worry too much..
1555  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: August 31, 2008, 04:44:49 AM
Well, after I leveled up a bit it wasn't too bad. Personally I found Azure Wold Strike too slow (since he can interrupt it part way through). Things are moving swiftly/smoothly once again smile.
1556  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Re: $12 for Stranglehold for 360 unopened on: August 31, 2008, 12:54:11 AM
If that fell through let me know.
1557  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: August 31, 2008, 12:05:04 AM
I'm level 17 and failing :-p. I feel like I should be able to do it now as I figure out a pattern but then it falls apart, but it hasn't happened yet. And btw, wow, you must be doing a lot of random battles to be low 20s already.
1558  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: August 30, 2008, 11:51:55 PM
FYI. The wolf boss in the hills is kicking my ass...
1559  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Tales of Vesperia announced on: August 30, 2008, 03:25:25 AM
Only about 2 1/2 hours in, but I'm having fun. Perhaps not original, but still a good way to spend the long weekend. Definitely a good procrastinator vs homework for grad school...
1560  Non-Gaming / Hardware / Software Hell / Re: Went ahead and bought the new cpu! on: August 28, 2008, 08:52:47 PM
Not really at this point. Dual might still be faster in many cases for games due to higher clock. But for longevity purposes I figure this hedges my bets. Plus it's not really much more expensive.
