1441  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Bloodbowl - Warhammer/American football/fantasy football on: June 26, 2009, 07:21:14 PM
Is there still room in the current league or plans to expand? I might grab this tonight.
1442  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Halo Wars Impressions. on: June 26, 2009, 11:23:25 AM
It was definitely a fun game. Little simplistic, and though there were some tough missions once you got the big units out it was hard to lose. Great cut-scenes and decent levels kept me going the whole way through though. (Plus it's not really too long).

Thanks for the heads up as I hadn't known about the show. Seems worth watching given the lack of anything else on sundays this time of year.

Posting at 11:58pm is not nearly as helpful.
1446  Gaming / Analog Gaming / Re: MTG - getting started on: June 21, 2009, 02:09:29 AM
Someone has a post in the trading forum that they are looking for cards.
1447  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Re: Looking for MtG cards on: June 21, 2009, 01:58:55 AM
For the pre-expansion sets you can tell by the border, darkness of the card, etc. I played back in the revised/4th edition days. Started around Arabian Nights... but I don't have any of my cards anymore frown. Somewhat miss them.
1448  Non-Gaming / Trading Forum / Re: Looking for MtG cards on: June 19, 2009, 10:34:17 PM
I know someone was trying to sell some here recently...
1449  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: I want my...I want my...I want my M:tG on: June 19, 2009, 04:04:12 AM
Gets harder as you move down and the AIs have better cards than you smile. But I'm on the 10th person now I think in the campaign.

D'oh, would have picked that up for my parents.

Now it just has an error saying it is unavailable.

Well, I failed in my download and am still down the points right now... hopefully it'll let me d/l again later as it isn't right now.
1453  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: What will you be doing during the XBL maintenance tonight? on: June 16, 2009, 01:31:51 AM
I've been talked into filling in for a friend's softball team that is desperate for people, so that'll keep me busy for a couple hours at least.

1457  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: NBA Playoffs 2009 on: June 13, 2009, 02:11:44 AM
Man, that defense was weak in the last 10 minutes by Orlando.... kept having those 3pts where the Magic player is like 1 ft away and can't bother to put his arm up. JJ may not be playing amazingly on defense, but at least he can manage to put his hand in someone's face. And why did they play nelson so long at the end? I'm not sure the assists were worth having a player with 0 chance of scoring in the game at that point.
1458  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: The Unusuals on: June 11, 2009, 03:50:44 AM
Hehe, I heard that today and I was like "Tunak!!!" We used to play that in the dormroom... good times. This is disapointing though, as I've only caught about half the episodes but I really have enjoyed the series.
1459  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Bing, Microsoft's new search engine on: June 09, 2009, 11:25:02 PM
Wow, that is naughty. Very cool feature pron or not though. Image search is very nice. I tried something like cheetah, and not only is the layout nice, but easy to choose sizes, and brings up similar animals to search with, etc.
1460  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: The Hangover on: June 08, 2009, 09:46:26 PM
Hmm, maybe I'll netflix it. I thought the previews looked hillarious, but they seemed pretty tame and I was pretty sure the movie goes a lot further. Plenty of other movies coming out soon for me.
1461  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: The Hangover on: June 08, 2009, 08:26:38 PM
How gross is the humor in this one? I don't mind some, but the Apatow movies tend to be a bit beyond my preference and it makes them less enjoyable for me.
1462  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: NBA Playoffs 2009 on: June 08, 2009, 03:29:53 AM
I dunno... if Howard can manage to take a shot without letting the ball get stripped away then Orlando has a shot.

LoneStarSpur, agree wholeheartedly on Dresden. I've read the whole series to date this year and have enjoyed it immensely as an easy but rewarding read.

1477  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Arcanum. Yay or Nay? on: May 27, 2009, 10:55:34 PM
Yup, it wasn't perfect but I enjoyed Arcanum quite a bit. I prefer that older school Fallout to the new Morrowind/Fallout crossover style still actually.

Darkel. I've never been a big of a Scarlet fan though.
1479  Non-Gaming / Off-Topic / Re: Night at the Museum 2 on: May 24, 2009, 11:27:37 PM
Saw the movie today. It was fun if a little crazier than the first with subsequently having a bit less of a story. There also wasn't as much Owen Wilson in it, though Amy Adams is always fun. Definitely a fun movie, though I was somehow expecting a bit more.
1480  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Pure (360) on: May 24, 2009, 05:41:24 PM
There was never really much in the way of impressions on this. I picked it up when Best Buy was clearing out titles for $10 a couple weeks ago and must say I've been really pleased with the bit I've played. The game isn't necessarily that deep and the environments it uses are limited, but it is very enjoyable as a low-key arcade style racer.  If you can find it for a good price I definitely recommend it as one that most people will probably find a lot of fun.
