1080p only works via VGA.

To change this, go to system tab, and select video, and then screen IIRC.

Found it thanks. I dont mind the graphics at all. For sure they aren't super-cutting edge...But very passable.
I'm unlocking skills like a madman...I can now run on walls, sling a web straight up on the ceiling, and some other un-lockable skills...

Question: Is the main(Movie)story-line just followed but doing the Missions from the map? Any order?

Thanks.

Oh, and really enjoying the game so far.

Atari had a FAQ about what to do if you lose a cd-key. So I sent them an e-mail telling them of my situation.
Could take up to a week to get any kind of a reply.
Thanks for the info about amazon.

Reader's Digest version: Bought NWN-2......played it for a bit but it ran terrible. Uninstalled it. tick, tick, tick...cleaning out my stuff I decided to get rid of all my old game boxes. I didn't realize, or had forgotten my cd-key for NWN-2 was on\in the box.

Now I try to install the game to try the new patch and I haven't got the key.

Is there a way to get a key for a retail version?

The above is totally true and free from wares or lies.... nod

Horsepower for the win.  Actually I used to go to Mosport Race Track in Ontario Canada years ago. There was a guy called, Bill Breck. He raced a Mini-Cooper S. Regularly he would beat the field made up of, Cuda's, camaro's, mustangs, etc...Every corner old bill will zoom inside and pick them off like flies.
Great to see this little green-lime green mini tearing up the track.

Anyway, the game looks fabulous. I will be getting this.

Thanks for the link.

Beta'd it..wont be buying it. Its simply ok for what it is. Its nowhere near being as fun as WoW was. Its same old same old formula does'nt excite me. I guess Ive been playing MMOs far too long now. It feels like Ive played it all before. Probably have. Theres nothing hugely wrong with LotRO. Many will just love it for the setting alone. For a while it kept my interest. but after 2 month of beta I could not stand to log in any more.

Then again Im a sci-fi nut and have yet to have a great MMO made for me.

Basically my sentiments as well. I wanted so bad for Lotro to be my next MMORPG. Also for me it felt life-less. I'm not sure why because all the same componants are there as in WoW or other well done MMORPG's. I'm glad some are finding it fresh and fun. I didn't find it either.

Sounds like you guys luv your console gaming. Its been 6 weeks or so since I got my first console(360) and to tell the truth I haven't touched it in over a week. I think for me its the selection of games that are available. I don't really like online play other than MMORPG's so that knocks a chunk of the fun-factor off.

And 360 seems to be shooter intensive on the title selection. I have no desire for some of the more, umm how should I put this, cutesy games...IE: Viva Pinata, etc...

I bought a 27 HD TV just for the box and purchased a few games I read were good...Can't help feeling I made a bad choice.
I am fairly excited about Assasin's Creed, and Mass Effect...but other than that......meh...

I'm waitting for my wife to realize I'm not playing the thing. Man, do I have some splainin to do then... paranoid

This is the problem of having a PvP system built around a PvE centric game. The only "true" balancing can only come by giving each character a twin. One can only play in PvP thus having certain skills and abilities..The other can only play PvE...etc..

How else can you have balance when the two parts of your game you're trying to achieve perfect chi with are diametrically opposed to each other?

Played the beta, me no likey.....I know MMORPG's basically follow the same path...But LoTRO is too much like WoW for me to want to start subscribing to it.

And I've said it before its not because I don't absolutely love Tolkien and his works. I can list things that I liked and didn't like but in the end it just didn't have that certain something that makes you want to keep logging in...or, you find yourself thinking about it while doing stuff in real life.

Yawn, plain, lifeless, dull, are all words I would use to describe how I felt about the actually in-game world of LoTRO.

So are they ever going to show some real freaking gameplay or what?  Everyone is drooling over this damn game and I have yet to see how it actually plays.

They have shown gameplay.  *shrug*  What were you looking for specifically?  They've shown the tactical battle system, dialog system, planetary system, etc.

It looks too much tactical shooter and too little RPG for my tastes.  I'll still be there day one, but I'm not quite as drool as everyone else yet.

Was thinking the same thing....I hope we're wrong. I'd much prefer it to be RPG heavy and shooter light......Too many shooters already for the 360.

Yep, I was expecting him to grow wings and start kicking machine ass all by himself.

Of course, I'm happy to take orders from Goliath, he'd rip my throat out if I disobeyed.

Oh and I just have to repeat this, Mass Effect has so many similarities to Star Wars.  That's not a bad thing though.

Spectres = Jedi
Mass Effect = The Force
Plenty of Humanoids.
Hot Twileks-like aliens.

But what Mass Effect does over Star Wars so well is that it strips out a lot of the baggage and immaturity of the subject matter.  There's no light and dark side, just people trying to get things done.  More intersting politics, more places to visit instead of relying on the same 10 planets.  Mass Effect becomes less spiritual and more just a physics phenomena.  The focus goes back to the grunts on the ground, rather than people fighting with light swords in space.

Sounds good to me..........Well worded.

I really can't understand the lack of character customization in any game being released into the MMORPG genre.

When I tested Lotro I couldn't believe how "generic" all the models were...Like someone said, look to have a ton of brothers and sisters running around.

Really though, how hard would it be to code in more choices at the "character-build" screen?
Not very I wager.
But man does it go along way toward adding to the gaming experience..especially at the beginning.
2113  Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Re: Your Skill Level At Games on: April 04, 2007, 04:04:44 PM
I have fun with good games in single play mode.....but usually if the game has a multi aspect to it, once I get online with the game I see how bad I am.......Which is fine. I know my gaming limitations. Its why I like MMORPG's so much. Its not twitch or button mashing.......Its not steady hands aiming.......all of which I'm not that good at. Its not that I'm not co-ordinated either.

I was always sports minded, combat trained military, could always handle myself in bar-brawl, but games.........well thats a different story.

Gimme a great MMORPG, with a good group.....I'm in gaming heaven.

Funny stuff LD...Good on ya for trying though. It might be easier if you role-played a guy first...Seeing as you are one.........you are one right?

Role playing(I'm a Lite Role player) is just talking and acting as YOU think your character would act. After all if you were to strike up a conversation with someone in real life at a bus stop you wouldn't think to yourself..."Wow, he didn't respond right to that question"....You would just accept him\her at face value...

I honestly don't think a person in Middle-Earth would say things like......Ah the Shire...A most magnificant place to be sure...

More like.....The Shire? How is it there anyway?..Much work?....I've been told the brew is pretty good...

We tend to think every conversation has to be poetic and a piece of Shakespearean English...

Thats just me anyway........Ive never been told off by Role Playing Nazi's...and I have fun not over thinking it....
