I think the dress is a slenderizer.

*They added integrated video capture with quick upload to a YouTube account.

VIDEO CAPTURE
* You can record video through RIFT up to 3 minutes in length. If you add a YouTube account through the Settings menu, RIFT will automatically upload videos to that account!
* Type /record or press CTRL+Y to start recording. Use it again to stop!
* Small icons next to the minimap show when video is recording and encoding.
* Once encoding is complete, you will have the option to upload if you have attached a YouTube account.

Did it help? I checked when I got home and didn't see the options I thought I remembered seeing.

Don't the changes just mean that Bards and Chloromancers are still fine for healing 5-mans, just not entire raids?
Yeah I don't understand the oh no, the sky is falling stuff on bard and chloro.  Chloro may actually be a bit better in 5-mans due to the across the board increase in mage dps, which indirectly increases chloro healing.  It just means that one chloro can't heal an entire raid.

The nerf to Livegiving Veil will be murder in Raids against Rifts, as that's a great way to heal others. It's usually 10 people who need healing, not 5. And keep in mind that you're constantly casting spells to keep others alive, as that's the only way TO keep others alive.

That said - Chloro/Warlock is an awesome combination, and some would say a bit too much of an awesome one. Either they need to buff the others, or just take the easy route and nerf the hell out of the combination.

Sadly, they're gonna take the easy route and nerf. It's gonna piss me off, to be frank. I was quite happy being a near main healer in events and such.

The chloro will still main heal just fine.  They weren't meant to main heal the entire raid group, just their subset.  I don't see this being a major issue.

So only the players in the chloro's group will be healed? Does the public grouping system distribute roles evenly into the groups? I've never noticed.

I don't really care if unions stay a part of this country, and as i've already said they do serve good purposes sometimes. But members should be able to opt out of dues.....or at the very least, decide where those dues should go. Or those dues income should have an oversight committee seeing where they are going. (ya ya...more big government)

Same could be said about state or federal taxes really.  It's an imperfect solution: when you are working for the collective good, the collective needs to fully participate.  If they don't (as in, don't pay taxes or dues) then it becomes a logistical nightmare.

That's what public opinion of unions now is starting to become, and it's not based on fiction.

Correct. It's based on schizoid paranoia.

SOCIALIST.  SOCIALIST!!!

What i'd like to see is every employee from the bottom to the top get a percentage of profits, but progressively.

So let's say the laborers get 1% total profits, while the CEO/owner would get 5%, as an example.

This way everyone would have a common interest in seeing the company do well, the higher ups would still make a bundle, yet greed would be curbed.

Think it would work?

This is hardly OUR war. If anything we are providing (with the co-operation of several other world powers) the much needed support that the Lybian figthers need and cannot possibly get on their own.

This is not Iraq or Afghan, we invaded those countries. This time the Lybian people started the war and are in it for their freedom. I would much rather support our intervention in Lybia than in Iraq. As I've said before, you cannot force democracy on people who do not want it. In this case the Lybians want it and they deserve our help getting it.

No this is a civil war that we have no place choosing sides in.   If a group starts a civil war hoping that someone will bail them out because they took on more then they could handle then they should lose.

Except that the Arab League united against Khadafy, NATO hammered out tactics that didn't put the US in the fore, and the UN gave its blessing. We didn't choose sides unilaterally and we are not committed to supporting other rebellions in the region unless those same forces align for them.

Believe me: I am very reluctant to support military adventures where we have no direct stake. But this one was handled correctly.

Agreed. This is how a modern international military action should look.

I think you may want to read up on the background for the current conflict. The world isn't choosing sides between two armed factions. The UN went to the step it did because Gadhafi was bombing civilians who tried to demonstrate peacefully. This is a human right. It was clear that this would have turned into a massacre of unarmed civilians without intervention, so the UN stepped in. The stated goal so far is to keep the skies clear of bombers so that civilians will be safe, but there is also select bombing of military targets that are convening upon these same civilians.

The Libyan rebels didn't start a civil war. They protested peacefully and were killed for it, and are now merely protecting their own lives. Gadhafi started this war.

So when do you propose the air strikes start in North Korea, Bahrain, Russia and other countries that either treat their citizens worse then what is happening in Libya or their citizens have been shot for protesting their government?

Who says air strikes need to happen in those countries at all?

Ale

The logic being used by people to support air strikes in Libya says they should start immediately.

That argument is old and simplistic, and I'm sure you know that.

Just because you can't solve all problems with the same tool, doesn't mean you should do nothing.

Nope.  To me it looks as if your Casio is moving much more slowly than my Rolex.

We also had the option of the lifetime medication, but didn't relish the idea of giving a pill every day (for our sake, and Kleine's).

So, what are the best cards in the $125-$175 price range?  I was thinking about the ATI 5770 ($140), though Rift isn't very fond of ATI cards right now.  What else is out there that can give me a substantial speed boost from my old 8800GT?

What is the problem with ATI cards? I've got a 5750 and run on max settings. I get 30-40 fps, which seems OK to me. I have been considering using that DX9 dll tweak I've heard about to see if I can squeeze some more out of it.
