Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Re: What will Obama's Scandals Be?

If my objective was to come on here and change the minds of the libs on this forum maybe I'd give a shit. Not my objective though...
This forum is about the only place I ever actually communicate with people that are not completely outraged by this administration. It has been obvious for a long time now that a whole lot of the public are completely uninformed and this forum is my destination to witness it first hand.
This forum also represents a great place to witness first hand liberal tactics, such as insulting and diverting.
You know the administration is corrupt when you have the likes of Lanny Davis demanding a special council...
Nobody gives a fug what your objectives are, but it's fun to have you here because we get to point and laugh and tell jokes behind your back. Ale

BTW, if Amazon is your pre-order outlet of choice, clicking on any of the entries will go to their pre-order page (if one exists).
I was up to slide 30 or so, and missed the arrow and went to the Amazon page. When I hit the back button, I was back at slide 1. Is there any way to remember the last slide we were on? Ale Amazon should be loading in a new window/tab Edit- looks like you clicked on the one slide that I didn't change to 'new window' for the link It's fixed. Thanks Ale

So sorry to hear that, Harpua. I know how you're feeling. I had to put mine to sleep today. Most likely a brain tumor. It was just a week ago that we realized something was wrong.
I never thought I'd be mourning the 10 year old before the 15 year old.

I'm not sure where the irony is coming in here. I assume it's something about posting this myself here.
I'm referring to an earlier comment I made about similar items getting posted all the time on FB, talking about the challenge of them. People continue to post them, so they must find them challenging. I posted this as another example of how these keep happening and how, again, the answer comes in seconds, so I don't understand why people find these challenging and keep posting them.
My post here was to point that out. It wasn't along the "isn't this cool" lines that seem to keep it propagated.
They are designed to get people to respond by making them think they are special because they can figure them out right away. A lot of spam uses techniques similar to this. Ale

Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Re: Egypt

It's only trolling because most of you are too delusional to realize how ignorant you are in regard to this issue.
Let me help make it more clear for you.
Our country, that has over 16 trillion in debt, has given billions of dollars and aircraft to a Muslim Brotherhood administration in Egypt whose first order of business was to seek the release of Omar Abdel-Rahman and followed that up with a dictatorial power grab. This only scratches the surface, and instead of admitting that its a travesty, you all attempt to divert attention to spelling errors and punctuation and schoolboy insults.
Exactly what I expected to happen though.
Dude, stop. Just stop. Even if you wanted to have a thoughtful, critical discussion of the situation in Egypt, you're clearly incapable. You demonstrate that in every post. Ale

Frankly, I think the problem is the very same subject of this thread: Always looking for the next 'big thing' and not appreciating what we have available to play right now.
Guild Wars 2 EVE Online Rift The Secret World LOTR Online World Of Warcraft
All very decent games that could use more love from MMO players. You burn thru content in less than 2 months and now are looking for something new. You're worse than serial monogamists. Gamers are their own worse enemies; in my observation.
Why no love for EQ2? I don't think the thread is about moving on to the next big thing, just curiosity over what it will be. Ale

How did you handle the sound?
Ale
Sound is handled via HDMI. You can set the system up in about 30 seconds, just like a console. There is a solid state drive option, but if I recall it was a $200 option. Cool. I didn't realize graphic cards HDMI ports actually output audio. Ale

Arclight isn't trying to insult anyone. He's being open and honest about his beliefs. I may not agree with them, but I see no reason to belittle him for his faith. I disagree more with intolerance, truth be told.
I realize that, and I'm not trying to insult him either, though I am being harsh on purpose. I don't see why he can attack the foundations of my world view (such as the Big Bang) if I can't attack his right back. Sometimes I get the impression that attacking science is okay, but attacking religion is unacceptable. It's not just "the foundation of your worldview," either. Science is right -- not always in its conclusions, but in its process and approach. The framework of science is the only system we have in place for truly determining what is factual or not in this world. If your religion is based upon ignoring or denying large bodies of rigorously-tested scientific data, then your religion is undeserving of respect. Are the followers of that religion undeserving of respect? Ale

So all forms of religion are appallingly backwards to you? Christians, Jews, Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus...they're all just backward people?
Why do you have to read everything I write from the most negative angle possible? As a mostly neutral observer, could it possibly be because you write it with such a negative angle? You come across as dogmatic as many a religious zealot. Ale

1. Being a Christian is not the same as being Religious.
Um...what? Dude, he *specifically* said he'd like to explain it but it's impossible. Sometimes you just have to accept things on not-faith. -Autistic Angel My comment to him still stands. I find it especially ludicrous because I am a Christian. Well I'm not a Christian OR religious, and yet his statement seems easy to understand. You can follow the teachings of Jesus and believe in his divinity without being a churchgoer or practicing any sect's doctrine. That's being a Christian without being religious. Or You can go to church regularly, practice all the prescribed rituals, and tithe the expected amount without actually believing the literal truth of the resurrection. That's being religious without being a Christian. Or you can follow any of a number of religions that aren't Christianity. Who's more religious, broadly speaking, than Muslims? Going to church is not what makes you religious. A Christian is an adherent of Christianity. If you don't believe Christ was the son of god and died for your sins, you aren't a Christian. I don't see how you can be a Christian and not be religious. Ale

Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Re: Obama's a <n word> but I'm not racist!
|
on: November 14, 2012, 02:38:37 AM

The confirmed intent of that facebook post was to insinuate the president was worthless
This is okay and deserving of death. This is not. Tacking on the n word was her way of showing his worthlessness by using a term she believed trivialized and insulted the man. Agreed. But does the act of tacking on the word make her a racist? Or was she just trying to insult him in a deeply offensive way? Ask yourself why it would insult him in a deeply offensive way and you might have your answer. Ale

I think we figured out the scandal! Alefroth sleeps with Obama! Caught on tape! FILM AT 11! I would think the scandal would be due to Biden continually washing his '83 Trans Am on the White House lawn shirtless. And it ain't no grainy night-vision flik either. Ale

I don't know what it will be. Probably not graft and corruption or other illegal activities; this white house seems as above-board as any. I'm leaning toward a clintonesque zippergate episode.
I see it the other way. Obama doesn't seem like a guy who would cheat. But given he's from Chi-town, corruption seems like an option. Maybe around solar companies. And Hep, how about you just answer the question without being a douche? And I'm not angry at all. Apathetic is more appropos. If it walks like a douche, and talks like a douche... And then you insult our intelligence. Ale

Have had Metropolitan for over 15 years, and had one claim, which was very smooth and got paid a lot more than expected. However, just today talked with Allstate because Met's premium keeps going up. Allstate is able to provide the same policy for considerably less.

Non-Gaming / Political / Religious Nonsense / Re: Romney: June Jobs Report 'Kick In The Gut'
|
on: July 07, 2012, 02:57:57 AM

It's all fun and games until you try to pin Romney down about HIS plan. Romney has plainly calculated that he can win without explaining what he’d do as president, and seems intent on becoming the “generic Republican candidate” that pollsters include in surveys (and that often outperform real Republicans). He seems to be making two assumptions: The country is in such dire shape that simply being against Obama is enough, and his background at Bain Capital is a sufficient qualification to get him elected. His campaign is a sustained exercise in avoiding risk. I know Romney's jobs plan has something to do with tax cuts for billionaires and magic pixie dust, but I'm a little hazy on the details. No, I don't think you are. Ale
