I've been thinking about getting DR, but I'm still miffed over the whole 'let's screw over non-hdtv owners by using too small text' idea Capcom went with.

The text is even pretty small on my 30'' HD.

I just got ending A
Spoiler for Hiden:
on into overtime!  icon_cool
and have to say, that right now, this is my GOTY.

I'm not a fan of zombies in the least, but this game is just a blast.  It's clever, witty, tension filled, has great pacing and won't let go of me.

And, watch out now, I'm going to chime in and say...the save system is an effective way to augment tension in this game.  At first I didnt like it, but as the game progressed, it grew on me.  I usually loathe such a mechanism, but it has worked perfectly, IMO.

I was far more cautious, far more tense (as one should be when battling the undead horde) and far more drawn in because I knew I had one chance...just one one chance!

Right now, my gaming moment of the year is:

Spoiler for Hiden:
I was in the underground garage collecting the bombs.  Most of my go to weapons (blades) were dinged up and ready to wear out.  The final vehicle I had at my disposal had taken too many oxygen tank hits and crashed in a heap, unable to get me to the exit.  I was on foot, in the dark, with a couple knives, no food and thousands of zombies between me and the only way out.  I was absolute steel beam tense and I somehow made it out.  It was exhausting and exhilirating.

But if there had been a way to save just before getting to that point, what has become a defining game moment for me would have been just another reload and retry.

Dead Rising.  Brilliant.  Though I'm not all the way done, it is definitely an A+ title for me. Any news of a sequel?

Well i got hosed. Apparently you have to do it when you initally set up your gamertag.  I'd have to set up another...but then all my achievements (all 240 pts) would be gone and I'd have to redo the friends list etc.

Sux.

Uh. No.  He-Man in his Prince Adam alter ego must be as decidedly opposite his superhero persona as possible so that his enemies do not ascertain his real identity. Ditto, Cringer and Battlecat.

You guys should check with your stores if you preordered from EB/Gamestop.  It now appears that they will only be getting 60% of their initial allotment.  My Gamestop was getting 16 and they found out today that they will only be getting eight 60 gig and two 20 gig PS3s.  So if you were near the end of the list at your store, you should check and see where you stand now.

i'm already sure I won't be getting one...even before this news...But whatever.

I really don't like how they are going the route of throwing more and more villians in each movie.  It gets to the point where what little story they have becomes a joke.  I mean, these characters have years of storylines they can mine for backstory and filler and stuff, why cram them in to use as throwaway enemies?

Honestly, Sandman is pretty much a throwaway enemy anyways.  Somehow I have the feeling the movie is going to have less action than what the trailer seems to let on.  And I also have another feeling that the last scene in the trailer I just posted will be the last scene in the movie.

Somebody said a long time ago that its possible the whole sandman battle will be how the movie opens. That'd be cool so as not to clutter the movie...however with the whole 'he's the one who killed Ben' thing, I don't know that's in the cards... Hopefully that little snippet was a dream sequence and whomever that was' guess is right onw

Besides isn't your gigante HD tv only like 3 years old?

My first 'next gen' experience.  The game itself is a blast, though I don't really know how well it shows of the system's capabilities.

It is an absolute hoot.

Another 4 day work trip ahead. Hope to get at least a little time with Dead Rising.

Am planning on taking the PS2 with me this time to get in some play time at the hotel.

I'm still exhausted from the last trip...
