In this box, Mr. LaPorte holds the past, present and future of everyone who ever once logged onto GG. Notice he has begun to squeeze it at the corners. The figures to either side of him are his Two Geeks of the Apocolypse. Watch out GT! PS. I'm still pro Rich.

Just a heads-up for those of you interested in the game, my local EB tells me that they needed to make a special order this morning in order to ensure getting any copies in their store. Otherwise they would have been sent none! Apparently there will be very low quantities of this available.
If you want the game, you might want to get a preorder in soon! (The game ships on Nov. 8, btw) Is it PS2 only?

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / [Gladius] - Thanks Dafones!

Yes indeed. Gladius is such a phenominal game that I started a thread reminiscing about it and hoping for a sequel (though it quickly turned into betrayal and lies about KOTOR (Right, Starshifter ?) Maybe someday a sequel to this fine fine TBS game it will happen... However, what is that screenshot (character shot) from? I don't remember him being in it.

I do remember that the same studio that did the Buffy games also did Indiana Jones and the Emperor's Tomb. I think it even used the same engine for what it's worth. I love IJ & ET. Wish they'd do a sequel to that too...it was hella fun.

I played through the original BtVS back in late 2003 and absolutely loved it (except for one impossible level :x that had me restart it a gozillion times). I finished the game and was pleased to see a sequel.
When Chaos Bleeds came out, I picked it up, noted that they changed the engine and let it sit on my shelf for 2 years.
Since I'm attempting to play through my backlog and I've been playing longer type RPG games I figured I'd give it a spin.
They broke quite a few things (especially the camera) with the engine redesign, but once again I'm enamored of it.
I've never seen the show (nor do I plan to), but I love BtVS as a game concept.
Any news of new games on the horizon or is it pretty much a dead license since the show is no longer on?

Robotech Battlecry SSX Tricky KOTOR KOTOR2 HALO POP: SoT NBA Street Vol 2 Ninja Gaiden
Possibly Pop:WW...just so I'll have the whole collection..

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Gameplay - freezes and stutters - bad copy or bad XBox?

I've been having issues with my box lately. Seems like on any game I play I'm getting periodic bad disc errors. It's driving me up the wall...especially on a game like chaos bleeds wehre there's no mid level save...
The problem started when we moved back into my parents house (while our new one is built)...they smoke in the basement where my box is...could that have something to do with it?

Gaming / Console / PC Gaming / Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3

I only have an XBOX this gen, so naturally, I'm leaning toward 360 next gen. However, I won't be buying either for years to come so that will give me the opportunity to do as I did this gen. Compare all 3 systems and see which one is right for me.
I feel that I made the right choice this gen and by the time I'm ready for next, there will be enough info out and enough people to consult (points finger at screen) to help me make my decision.
As for Sony overall- I can't stand their products nor the arrogance with which they develop and deliver them. I hate the little things they do to make them 'unique' that sacrifices usability and defacto-ness.
Save for the PS3 (maybe), I plan to never willingly buy another sony product as long as I'm a consumer.

Gladius for Xbox. I need to go find this again. What a dumbass. I would put that on my list too... I traded it for Psi ops, which was fun, but I'm hankering to play Gladius again.. Also: Original Fallout. I re-acquired it in a trade with minimal loss, but what was I thinking? BG&E- Not because I'd play it again any time soon, but because it was just such a fun game that I would play through again if there ever is a sequel. Maybe Indiana Jones and the Emperor's tomb. That was just a hoot.

Bold = actual 2005 releases..I think..
So my total is 6.

Isn't the designer (Micheal Ansel?) working on King Kong? Yes because Peter Jackson loved BG&E so much. But...but...that Kong demo was pretty bad, right guys? Does this really give us a lot of hope? Regardless. It will sell a GOzillion copies. If that's what it takes to get a sequel, I'm fine with that.

I guess, but... No 2d game today looks as bad as that. The visuals are dated. But somehow I have no problem at all replaying Space Quest III, and I do have a hard time looking at Majora's Mask, a game released eleven years later. Memories....

You get a different ending if you find all nine upgrades & the water sword during the course of the game. The game ends differently (especially with regards to Kaileena's fate) and it doesn't have the same final boss. Is it worth another play through to see it? Cheat codes?

I can't remember if I actually read this somewhere or only dreamed it: Is Ubisoft actually working on a sequel to Beyond Good and Evil?
I remember being excited and wanting to tell you guys...so I presume it was just a dream as I'm sure you would know it before I did anyway.
Sad if it was just a wonderful dream...one from which I had to wake...

It depends on your playstyle, but I would say two maybe three hours. I believe you have two more areas to play.
But it begs the question that if you hate the game this much that you want it to end quickly why exactly are you still playing? Masochistic? It is only under the most extreme circumstances that I won't complete a game. And since my gaming dollar is so limited and I paid nearly full price for this game (in anticipation) I feel I must finish it in order to get the bang for the buck. Even if the bang is not that great. Right now it's a c- title. If it were an F it would have long ago been ejected and traded....

Yeah...but with Hetz it can turn on a dime.
Remember when Morrowind came out? He was nutso about it for weeks if not months prior to its release...and then when it arrived he was all 'it's not that great'...
We all died a little bit that day...
