I believe there is one called Pocket Heroes or something like that.  I will have to check out the proper name when I get back home.

Pocket Heroes is nothing like HOMM fwiw.  It's more like Ultima with action points and turn based if you had to compare it to a previous rpg.

There are actually quite a few HOMM-esque games out there for iOS, including one that's pretty much a clone.  I can't remember the name exactly but I remember they copied the look of HOMM.  There's also Ravenmark, Time of Heroes, Highborn, Battle for Wesnoth, which are all fantasy TBS variants...  Of those I think I liked Highborn the best, the others I didn't end up playing as much though they certainly seemed promising.

That said, I can't wait for this version of King's Bounty, looks fantastic.
