This seems to be the new hotness.  From Rocketcat, who did Mage Gauntlet, Punch Quest etc.

Most closely resembles Mage Gauntlet, but it has procedural levels and perma death (you've been warned Ritt!)

It has been getting great reviews but it just looks go 8-bit to me I don't think I can play it.  I don't consider myself a graphics whore but it just looks bad to me.  Still many sites are saying it is great so I have it on my list for a price drop.

It's more 16bit, genesis/snes v. NES/Master System.

As for the game, my early complaint is that I wish you could cast spells on diagonals.
