Rayman - If you haven't played this already it's really great. Little Big Planet Vita - Another great platformer that works well on the system. Orgarhythm - An RTS/rhythm game kind of like Patapon but from a top down perspective. I just got it and it's pretty original and I like the music. Hot Shots Golf: World International - Probably my favorite golf game and perfect for on the go or before you go to bed to wind down.
Good PSP Games that are a bit different than other games you may have played before. Corpse Party - A 2D horror game, sounds crazy, but the atmosphere is pretty creepy. Z.H.P Undying Ranger - If you like Rouge-likes, this takes that formula and wraps a great and funny story around it. Half Minute Hero - A full RPG experience you can play in 2 minutes with ending credits. Hint: The whole game does last more than 2 minutes.
There haven't been a ton of games yet that really utilize the functions of the Vita. Most of the touch features in games I think are just there to be put on the box and do not really add great functionality to the games. It's the same on the iPad, most of the controls are shoehorned in and there aren't many games that are built from the ground up with touch controls in mind.

I highly recommend the PSN title Tales from Space: Mutant Blobs Attack. It was my favorite launch title and still probably favorite on the system.
Motorstorm RC is a free download for Vita and a fun top-down racer. Touch My Katamari is a good version of that if you are into that sort of thing. Same with Mortal Kombat.
After that, go download the demos for Gravity Rush, Uncharted, etc and try them all out to see what hits home for you.

I would also say when mutant blobs attack. Its 8 bucks I believe and outstanding. Also...
Need for speed is awesome thus far.
I agree Rayman is gorgeous and alot of fun, especially since I never played it on consoles.
Motorstorm is surprisingly fun and FREE.
Gravity Rush was enjoyed by me as well as others around here.
Once more to agree with above statements, Hot Shots golf gets a ton of playtime from me. Great game.
LBP is better than its console counterparts...
Uncharted was a quick fun romp with drake.
That should keep you busy;)

Little Big Planet is the only Vita game right now that everyone needs to own. Apart from that, other great titles include Sound Shapes, Rayman Origins, Super Stardust Delta and Uncharted Golden Abyss. Motorstorm, at the price it's offered, is also great. You should also take a look at Zen Pinball 2, which is cross platform with the PS3 and "free" in that it costs nothing to download and allows you to demo any of the game's levels.

don't forget that PSN Plus is coming to the Vita sometime this month (unless it gets delayed), so who knows what titles there may be in the Instant Game Collection.

Yeah that should be interesting. I don't have plus yet. But once vita has it, I'm more than sold.

Yeah that should be interesting. I don't have plus yet. But once vita has it, I'm more than sold. I've got at least 3 free 30 day codes, and since they stack I'll be getting at least a few months free. I'm probably getting the same bundle that Ron got as I got a bunch of trade in credit coming my way.

If you like Uncharted on the consoles, grab the Vita version. It is excellent.
Persona 4 is due out this month. That is a must have for RPG fans.
New Little King's Story is great if you enjoyed the 1st game on the Wii.
