I guess the DS isn't dead yet - Nintendo has announced that Pokemon Black/White 2 are coming to the DS "soon".

Banish this thread to portables with us Vita riff raff please.

Edit:  Oh, and I'm a bit disappointed that it's not a 3DS Pokemon.

You are likely to be eaten by a grue.

My kids are already going crazy for this.

Can't wait to read more about it in the iPhone forum!  icon_wink

Shouldn't this be called Pokemon Ebony / Ivory or something?  Since when to Pokemon games get direct sequels?  I played White rabidly until I finished the main story, and today, I remember a lot more about my Poketeam than anything that happened in the plot.

This seems to be breaking with tradition.  In past series, the re-release has been a single game, rather than a new duo: red/blue then yellow, diamond/pearl then platinum, etc.

Everytime I see black and white I think of lionheads game... I loved the first and would have enjoyed the second if it weren't for the bugginess I came across... So, sorry to hijack this, but I want a b&w 3!!!

Yeah the more I think about this, the more it pisses me off.   My kids, who are both getting 3DS systems for their birthdays, are dying for Pokemon.    Hell, *I* am dying for pokemon for the 3DS.

IIRC, both the first GBA Pokemon and the first DS Pokemon games came out two years after the system itself came out.  If Black/White 2 is just the enhanced version of Black/White 1 we expected (just in two titles instead of the usual one, go cash cow!), then that would mean things are on schedule for a brand new Pokemon iteration to come out next year on the 3DS, as usual.
