Nintendo held a 3DS-heavy Nintendo Direct presentation today and announced several new games - Mario & Luigi : Dream Team, the next in the Mario & Luigi series of RPGs, Mario Golf : World Tour, LEGO City Undercover : The Chase Begins, and a port of the Wii's Donkey Kong Country Returns.  There are screenshots for M&L and Mario Golf here and a trailer for LEGO City here.  This year was already looking great for the 3DS, but now it looks even better drool

Yeah, I was doing little Nintendo fanboy jumps of joy watching that Nintendo Direct.  Very excited to play a new Mario & Luigi as well as the remake of Donkey Kong Country Returns 3D.

was already wanting a 3ds but this makes it harder to resist. maybe hold out until next price drop. still have ds/gba games to play on my dslite. could always sell some of them to help fund a 3dsxl though smile

Best guess? You might be waiting for a while. There are about 30 million active right now, and the sales are doing pretty good after the first price drop.

My 8yr old son loves his 3DS XL (Santa was awfully nice to him).

That LEGO City game looks like Grand Theft LEGO - it's going to be crack for him. frown

I love my 3ds really. Also there are alot of games for it. Understood. Why is mine only a mariokart machine?!?

I am really, however, looking forward to animal crossing!!!!

was doing good holding out, but think the gaming gods want me to have a 3ds.

have seen that next week target has 3dsxl on sale for 160. at work got employee of month ($150) [got for august but they didnt get around to handing at 1/2 years worth of them until this week].

would be nice playing my ds backlog on a bigger screen than the dslite i have. smile
