Engadget article about it.
I don't think I have seen any games that give you in game currency for watching a video, but I have seen the share with FB stuff. I won't miss it.
I follow Nimble Bit on Twitter and they retweeted a TA article about how this is bad for developers and gamers (I didn't read the TA article). I can see how developers like Nimble Bit would hate this, but they are very giving with their in app currency so I can't see this as hurting them too much since they seem to have a strong following. Couldn't they give away less free "bux" and make their games more difficult so people are more enticed to spend?
How do gamers lose? Less F2P games maybe? The Reddit Apple thread seems to be overwhelming for the ban. I think it might actually be better for gamers, if there is no incentive to make all these F2P game, maybe it will clear out the store of all the crap. I don't play these type of games though, so I am probably not a good representative of your average iOS gamer. A lot of people must like the free coins for watching an ad since those games do quite well.
