For anyone that was interested in Warrior's Lair (formerly known as Ruin), the upcoming hack and slash action RPG, you might not want to hold your breath. Through some friends at the company (Idol Minds) I heard that Sony canned the project today and they had to layoff a bunch of people. Bad news for Vita gamers, and worse news for those developers.

Great...the one RPG coming out for the Vita gets shitcanned. If E3 doesn't bring some significant news on the Vita front, mine will be on Ebay shortly thereafter.

Was it canned for both Vita and PS3? Looked cool.

Idol was doing both versions, so essentially yes. Time will tell what becomes of existing game and assets, but once again I wouldn't hold your breath.

Im sticking with my "it's way too early to be that negative" about things with the vita. Most consoles don't have THAT many great games that early on...

Before this, there were 4 games that were of interest to me coming out between now and the end of September. Now there are 3 between now and question mark. Obviously, things will get added. However, unless some "Shipping Now" titles get announced at E3, it's looking like Vita blew it's wad early and is leaving us high and dry until Christmas. That analogy got away from me.

I guess I'm seeing as its good to have great games at launch and then a pause before more good games show. It's either that or no good games at launch then down the road great games. I've don't recall any console NOT going that route...

Interesting, I wonder if they are going to finish up work internally at Sony or pass it off to another developer. They were supposedly only a few weeks away from content complete.
