I'm getting Unit 13 tomorrow as part of TRU's B1G1 half off sale.

I was planning on getting Virtua Tennis as the other game, but TRU doesn't really carry it (no one seems to, really, but it's not a full-pricer for me, anyway).

It doesn't seem they carry Dungeon Hunter, either, which would probably be my second choice.

So, it's down to this:

ModNation Racers for $20
Little Deviants for $15

Any thoughts?

Do you have to buy a second game? Both the ones you listed have received pretty poor reviews.

No Ninja Gaiden, Dynasty Warriors, Rayman Origins or Marvel Vs Capcom 3?

Between those two, I'd agree with the aggregate reviewer scores that say ModNation Racers is probably the better pick - I haven't played it, but little deviants was not worth a purchase IMHO.

I have Rayman.  I have MvC on the 360 and have played it once.  I've played Ninja Gaiden on both the 360 and PS3, and I still haven't finished it.  And TRU doesn't carry DW.

I wasn't considering Little Deviants until I saw it was $15.

I suppose not, but it justifies my waiting for Unit 13 until TRU gets it in.

I may wind up with a 3DS game.  James Noir's Hollywood Crimes would be only $10, and I know some people liked it.  I was planning on getting that with something else, though.

I enjoy Modnation Racers. The load times are a little long....but other than that it's a very fun game. I like it more than Mario Kart 7, which I also have. Little Deviants is pretty boring. I'd pass on that.

Do you still need to accomplish a task and come in first to get medals like in the first game?

No, I've come in first and missed a task and still gotten medals.

No, I've come in first and missed a task and still gotten medals.

I was more wondering about the other way around.  It always frustrated me in that game that the medals were for something like

Come in first!

Knock an opponent off of a specific bridge three times and come in first!

Spin around three times, drive backwards for a lap, never go full speed and come in first!

Well, I waited an extra couple of days for TRU's delayed release.  I called the store, and they didn't have it in.  So I figured I'd get it tomorrow.  I thought I might check online and see if I could do the rare in-store pickup.  And low and behold, it's apparently not available in stores suddenly and is sold out online.  FU TRU.

BTW, I decided on UMvC3, since I realized I only had the non-ultimate version (and the card thing sounded interesting).  Forget it now.
