Although I'd like to be IN!...
I dock my Vita to charge it every night. I'd probably have to take these things off to do it, which makes me OUT!

I'm curious - I got hand cramps with the PSP and the Vita isn't really that much better in that department.

I went ahead and ordered the CTA ones. I figure 13 isn't that big of a deal. I will post some impressions here when I have played with them.

Interesting.... yesterday it said they would ship in "1 to 2 months" and now it says "3 to 5 weeks" so you should get them even faster.

The top ones from PDP look more comfortable to me, but I'd definitely be interested in hearing impressions about either.
The Vita isn't terribly uncomfortable to hold, but my fingers are always on that back touch screen for support and never in the little "finger dimples" near the edges.

Not sure how you ladies could make comments about condoms when your tiny girl-hands can fit on the limited area of the Vita. Being a guy, with bigger hands, I'd appreciate the extra real estate that trigger grips would bring. So I stroll into my local GameStop today and the manager, who I know well, asks how I like the Vita, then laughs as he says he picked up the PDP triggers and that they're great. He told me one of the regulars came in and grabbed them, put them on the system right in the store and couldn't get over how much better the system felt. The GS manager then got the last one, but told me that it really did make a difference AND the Vita could still be docked. This had me intrigued, but his store was out of them. I found them at another GameStop later today and I gotta tell you, it actually took my cramped, semi-gnarled meat hooks to better than the PS3 controller feeling. Get 'em and try 'em. So far, so good!

I think the flowchart here is as follows:
If you want a grip and liked the Xbox Duke controller, get the CTA. Anybody else, try the PDP.

PS3 triggers were awesome. So, you know, if your product doesn't fit well enough in hand - we won't judge you.

Not sure how you ladies could make comments about condoms when your tiny girl-hands can fit on the limited area of the Vita. Trust me when I say I have big man hands. Your mom knows all about them, so ask her. And as a man with big man hands, I want them all over the Vita itself, not on some attachment.

I wound up picking up the PDP grip. I suppose it makes things a little better, but I can't say I love it. I think my main problem with hand strain is having to curl my thumbs back to have them sit on the analog sticks. If you want to rest your fingers on the shoulder buttons, you have to have your hands higher up on the unit, which still requires you to curl your thumbs back to the sticks.
Something that might help are thumbstick extenders like they have for the 360.

Alright I have both now and thought I would post some impressions. PDP PSVita Trigger Grips- good Much faster shipping. Nice fit. Doesn't interfere with any of the Vita. - bad Not that much bigger than the Vita without grips so still felt small to me. CTA Digital PS Vita Hand Grip- good Bigger so more comfortable (for me) Cheaper - bad Stupid long shipping times for something sold on Amazon Covers up the charging port, and the game port so you have to take it out to do those functions. All in all they are both alright options but neither is perfect. I do like holding the Vita more with either set though than just the default. I have posted my PDPs for sale if anyone is interested.

How tough is the CTA grip to get off, since it covers everything?

Very easy really. Probably couldn't be done with one hand but not hard at all with two. And it doesn't feel loose fitting as things that are easy to take off sometimes do.

CTA grips came today.
Bottom line is that they feel better than the PDP ones.
They are huge, block all the ports and can't be docked, but they feel great.
Thanks, farley!

After trying them out for a while I think I have to agree with Farley that the PDP grips aren't quite large enough to do the job for me. They're not bad by all means, I still have them on my Vita, but they just don't rest into the palms as much as I hoped. As mentioned before they are made of a great feeling material and fit on the Vita so you can still access all of the normal buttons and ports.

I don't know If I'd enjoy these or "need" them. Although, I said the same thing about he trigger extensions on the ps3 controller too and I love them... Maybe worth a check. Definatly don't want to take them off everytime I need to charge/ switch games etc..

After not really loving the PDP grips, I decided to throw in another $12 and get the CTA grips. While not perfect (has it not occurred to someone to shape/angle the grips like dual shock controller?), I finally feel like I can hold the Vita without my hands cramping up as well as have a more precise touch on the sticks.
I'll probably still keep my eye out, but I think I will play the Vita a lot more with the CTA grips - it should certainly make playing Gravity Rush a lot more fun.
