damn, no news on a possible release date since they announced this.  hopefully they don't ninja release it and make the big announcement that it is out a day later.

Oh, yeah.  I forgot I started this.

We were talking about it in the general iOS thread.  I'll repost my comments here.


Got it first thing this morning, and I played it immediately.

I have to say, I like it better than the GOG release!  Part of it is that I could never get the graphic tweak settings right on the PC.  But it runs so smoothly on iOS!  And it controls really, really well.  Better than I would have guessed.

My only gripe is that the camera takes a bit of time to swing around behind the car at times, and when an opponent is coming at you, this can be an issue, but so far it's not game breaking.

Bullwinkle, iirc the camera was exactly like that in the original release. I played one race and after I fuzzed with the controls a bit it felt pretty good.
