[iOS] Puzzle Craft

I don't mean to alarm anyone, but I think we might have a serious productivity crisis since Puzzle Craft has now arrived.  For those who haven't seen it, Puzzle Craft combines the match-3 style of Dungeon Raid and the combination aspects of Tiny Town with resource gathering, city building, and some light RPG elements.  Having spent a few minutes with it this morning, I think this has the potential to be a time sink like none other.

Is it possible to paint yourself into a corner, upgrade-wise?  Like, choose all chicken herders for your people and not be able to recruit other types, or fill all the available land plots with flower patches and have no way to build real buildings?

Possibly, but I think you'd have to try really hard to do so.

The different hirelings have max numbers you can acquire. On the flowers, I had wondered that myself, but there is probably a max on purchasing those as well, preventing that from happening.

Be aware that there is a bug that has caused a few people to lose their saves. The developer is trying to track down the cause of it. It seems to happen well into the game too, which has me a bit afraid to play.

On a whim (and I blame you all for said whim) I grabbed this. Like you all, I'm also enjoying the heck out of it.

Only one complaint - how do I turn off the game's ability to spam my message box with notices like, 'your taxes are ready to get' and such?

Go to your notifications (in settings) and select 'none' for the alert type.

Yep.  The fact that I can now clear grass, trees, and rats in the same swipe is all kinds of awesome.

Exactly, but there are still choices to be made. If you want more carrots, you still have to collect only grain. If you want coal, only stone, etc.

I think i just got hit with this.  Fired it up to play on the plane and everything is gone, including the 3k coins I had in the bank.  Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu.   

This is the first time I've played when not on WiFi...keeping a slim hope that it reappears once I connect at the hotel. If not, how does one go about getting refunded on IAP purchases?

Gratch, did you get the no string error with little headless dudes wandering your town? send an email to [email protected] . They are still collecting info on what is causing that bug (device, OS, etc). They may be able to help you out with the coins too.

This is the second game in as many weeks that I've run into a game-breaking bug 6+ hours in.  Fucking annoying.

Yeah, I know they are trying to pin it down, but they were at Gamescom this week, which probably made that difficult.

This game is terribly addictive!  I was going to avoid it but somehow it just sucked me in.

This looks right up my alley.  I see IGN has a review for the Android version, but it's not available on either the Amazon Appstore or Google Play.  Anyone know when/if it's coming to those, or if there's a way to find out such information?

They think they have tracked down the bug and it is related to iCloud backups on ios 5. They are hoping to get the patch to Apple today.

I've been avoiding actually playing the game, fearful of The Bug, but I thought I could get away with occasionally getting into the game long enough to grab all the free item drops.  This has worked fine for over a week.  This has not worked fine today.

I saw this went free today.  Makes for an easy decision if you're on the fence.  I easily got my money's worth at full price.
