Sony has released a free-to-play endless runner set in the R&C universe - Ratchet & Clank : Before The Nexus, a prequel to Into The Nexus.  The game is fun and it makes good use of the R&C elements, but the control isn't as tight as it should be.  The free-to-play stuff isn't bad, thankfully, and it shouldn't be too hard to earn everything just through playing the game.  You can also earn raritanium in the game that can be transferred to Into The Nexus on PS3.

I tried this out for a bit the other night but didn't really last long.  I really disliked the shooting portions, partially because your finger pointing at things in front of you is going to obscure lots of the screen, and even more so once I figured out that bullets are limited and you have to buy more.

The grind rail segments seem like a natural fit for an endless runner, but I also agree that the controls are just not as responsive as they should be.  Overall, this was just not nearly fun enough for me to keep playing it, despite having Ratchet & Clank.
