Former World Bank chief Paul Wolfowitz has been appointed head of an influential panel advising the US government on arms control. I think next they'll give Henry Kissinger and Arafat the Nobel Peace Prize!

okay ill preface this by saying im not a fan of this guy or his body of work

but seriously how do you essentially get fired from TWO high profile jobs, and continue to get them?

i mean honestly if im fired from burger king, then fired from mcdonalds, the manager at wendys probably isnt going to be jumping for joy at the prospect of hiring me.  and all im doing is flipping freakin hamburgers!

It's the typical welfare for neocons.  He could have done that, or been an anchor on Fox Noise Channel as an expert on the Democratic Primary.  Turns out, he liked the multi-million dollar retirement package the fiscal conservative gubment was handing out.

No, of course I know it's not ONLY a neocon thing.  After all, I've lived in Chicago my entire life.  But how does that invalidate the statement that it's typical of NeoCons?

You weren't attempting the whiny and irrelevant "Waaaaah!!!! THEY do it toooooooooo!!!" non-defense defense, were you?

[grammar nazi]psst... I think you meant "you're" [/grammar nazi]

Once again, my favorite E. Coli Conservative gets pwned by reality.

BTW, I'm still waiting for you to show the lies you've found on Government Is Good.

Chicago is a nightmare for this kind of thing. I may be just an angry, Chicagoan, but I think the corruption here is pretty unique in its prevalence. I doubt there are any remotely honest politicians in Chicago.

But you'd think a person as shamed as Wolfowitz would have a hard time getting a job, dammit.

Or even a convicted felon like Irving Libby.  Or Jim Thompson (9/11 commission, Hollinger International, Fox News).

Kissinger, Nixon, Otto Reich, John Negroponte, Luis Posada Carriles, Osama Bin Laden, Prescott Bush, Neil Bush, "Jeb" Bush, and on and on.  They all serve the cause, they are all "made" men.
