It's getting kind of tricky to know what you can and can't say in France anymore. Pretty sad to see free speech in a supposedly 'enlightened' country take such a hit.

Another Conviction for Brigitte Bardot

A Paris court on Tuesday found Brigitte Bardot, right, guilty of provoking discrimination and racial hatred for writing that Muslims are destroying France, The Associated Press reported. It was her fifth conviction for inciting racial hatred. Ms. Bardot, the film star turned animal rights campaigner, was also fined $23,325 and ordered to pay $1,555 to the French group Movement Against Racism and for Friendship of People. The group filed a lawsuit last year over a letter Ms. Bardot sent in December 2006 to Nicolas Sarkozy, then the interior minister and now the president of France. In that letter, published in her animal rights foundation’s journal, Ms. Bardot said that France was “tired of being led by the nose by this population that is destroying us, destroying our country by imposing its acts.” She was referring to the Muslim feast of Aid el-Kebir, which is celebrated by slaughtering sheep.

I personally don't care what she said. She could that Jews, Muslims or Christians are destroying France. The abomination was that she was found guilty of saying it.

It still amazes me that there is that level of racial hatred out there.  Why not just hate everyone equally?

I begin to care when a religion seeks to incorporate it's rulebook into our government and public schools.

I live in Phoenix.  There are plenty of them around.  I don't care about them any more or less than I do anyone else.  Religious folks just need to keep their distance.  I have about an 8' kicking radius, so 9' is safe.
