See Terms and Conditions for details. © 2012 Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved. This site is hosted for Microsoft by ePrize, Inc. But then directly underneath it says *Open to legal residents of the 50 United States (including D.C.) who are 13 years and older and who are Xbox LIVE Rewards members. To qualify for the offer, Xbox LIVE Rewards members must watch 3 out of 4 presidential and vice presidential debates for 30 minutes or more during the offer period. Offer starts 10/1/12 and ends 10/22/12. Debates air on 10/3, 10/11, 10/16, and 10/22 from 9-10:30pm ET (6-7:30pm PT). Xbox LIVE Gold membership required for some events and features. Real-time feedback functionality only available in select live events. See xbox.com/election2012. so which is it? it would be good to watch these, because then i will be in the know how ready for The Daily Show(which started about two months ago here,we are a day behind)

The Denver debate comes with a five hour closure of the major north-south artery through town starting right at 5pm. Should be awesome. I understand the need for it but wow is that going to make getting home quite the circus Wednesday.

No, Monday night is the second debate between Scott Brown and Elizabeth Warren. With four presidential matches and three between the senatorial candidates, debates are going to dominate my October TV watching.

Seems the general consensus is that Romney took the first debate tonight.
I agree, but I'm biased of course, msnbc is in meltdown mode, which is encouraging.

Content wise I thought it was pretty neutral, but Romney was better at delivering his points, I thought. Obama was surprisingly not on his game.

He looked tired and drained. His mind was elsewhere. It was strange to watch. Romney was in full steamroll mode, which made the contrast even more noticeable.

I'm surprised the reaction here has been so muted. That was a commanding performance by Mitt Romney - he lead every topic, nailed every point, and appeared energetic, confident, and optimistic for the duration. He waved away every policy position he's espoused over the past few years with such breezy authority, you'd think he'd never proposed them at all. I thought it was a slam dunk win for Team Romney.

I don't think the response has been all that muted. I think it was a huge night for Romney, and while I realize the impact of debates is negligible, I feel pretty confident last nights performance will give Romney a boost amongst independents.

Oh, over the course of ninety minutes, Mitt Romney promised the American people his presidency would deliver 20% lower taxes, higher wages, superior benefits, fewer regulations, more military spending, better healthcare, smarter schools, cheaper gas, green energy, zero deficits, and permanent fixes to Social Security and Medicare, and none of it would ever cost anybody anything. Nothing he ever said or did prior to 9:00pm last night ever happened, and anyone suggesting otherwise was simply confused. It was *amazing.* -Autistic Angel

I thought Romney hurling the half full bottle of Mad Dog 20/20 at Obama right before they cut to the commercial in the middle of the debate was a bit over the top. But Obama was able to recover nicely and his posse threw a beat down on Romney's crew during the break, I heard. I didn't watch any of it myself as I was busy smoking crack and making shit up.

He looked tired and drained. His mind was elsewhere. It was strange to watch. Romney was in full steamroll mode, which made the contrast even more noticeable. It was his anniversary, so I suspect conjugal relations. Or maybe a big fight. Romney clearly won on the performance level, which is the most important thing in a debate. People don't remember the substance so much as the delivery. Substantively, it was a surprisingly boring debate. It wasn't a TKO, but I'll bet it's enough to stop Romney's slide in the polls. If Obama doesn't come out swinging in the next two debates, Romney could still turn this around.

The president must have taken the team responsible for manipulating every political poll in America and reassigned them to manipulating nationwide job statistics. Typical Obama. If only he'd borrowed some of the guys who falsify global climate data, fabricate fossil records, or coordinate the War on Christmas, we could have had it all! -Autistic Angel

Really? Really? You know why conspiracy theories are so fun? Because most people who come up with them don't have to burden themselves with figuring out how the conspiracy was actually enacted. Or, you know, REALITY.

Drop of 8.1 to 7.8 August to September? Why, that's a huge 0.3% drop. We haven't seen that since ... December 2010 to January 2011 when it dropped 0.3%. Or, y'know, November to December 2010 when it dropped 0.4%, both of which would have been to late to impact the midterm elections. Your assertion that the jobs numbers have been falsified is ridiculous.

I could give a shit about the political implications, I'd still like someone to explain to me HOW exactly the numbers falsification would happen. If Obama could magically do such a thing don't you think he would have done it by now? Maybe instead of acting like a bunch of tools we can all be happy that the numbers are going down, something that's , you know, GOOD FOR THE COUNTRY regardless of political ideology.

In September, the household survey showed a whopping 873,000 increase in the number of people who said they found work. That’s the biggest one-month gain in 29 years. Fact, and reason to be skeptical...

Again, I ask for some kind of reasoning other than "impossible because Obama can do nothing right". Making a claim like that demands something to back it up, otherwise it comes off as petty and childish
