I'm getting mine and I'll take it, but this is really nothing more than an effort to buy your vote in November.

Well it's not going to work because I have no idea who is reponsible for it.  icon_twisted

George W. Bush.  So remember to vote for him in November.   nod

He's not eligible, and his daughters are too young. Maybe I'll vote for his wife.

I'll use mine to fill up the gas tank in the car.

Thus handing it right back to Bush and his oil buddies.
F-him.....I'm spending mine on underground craps and Texas Hold-Em games.
Tax free winnings FTW.

the Feds are probably going to 'reclaim' mine

You know?  that's a good point.  They may 'reclaim' mine also.  If they don't, though, $300 is going to a new pair of glasses.

The direct deposit thing rocks! It gets my money to me a month earlier! I'm getting $1,800 and will sock it away in savings for next summer when I'm on sabbatical/vacation for 10-12 weeks.

Has anyone actually gotten thier tax rebate early?

According to the original post I should have got it today, but of course, didn't. The IRS put out a "Where's my Stimuls page" (https://sa1.www4.irs.gov/irfof/IRServlet?app=IRACTC) and just checking it, it looks like I'm still scheduled for the normal date of Friday May 9th.

So much for Bush saying it was being moved a week early. It's not like he would lie about it or anything, after all Iraq DID have weapons of mass destruction!

What is everyone else buying with theirs?

30 bottles of Jack Daniels and 1 (one) condom.

I told you 40 if you expect me to wear that goddamn schoolgirl outfit again...

Checking the link above I'm scheduled for today, May 7.  Checking my bank account online, I see pending transaction, May 7, for $1800 from the U.S. Treasury.  Woohoo!

Helpful Information:
You should keep a copy of the IRS notice you received listing the amount of your payment. In the event you do qualify for the full amount next year, you will need to have the notice as a record of the amount you previously received

Good to know. smile
