That includes eBay, Google, Amazon, etc. Explain to me how this has anything to do with housing? This is the very thing that is wrong with modern politics. How about 1 issue per Bill people. No more Evacuate Springfield / Perverted Arts bills!

I agree, this is one of my biggest complaints about how things seem to work in government, stuff just shoved into bills because they wouldnt pass on their own merits.

All I can say is that Dick Armey is learning the about the age-old adage "you reap what you sow".
As a civil libertarian, I hate this kind of shit. It stinks and it right up there with the illegal wiretaps, the telcom immunity and extraordinary rendition. The Founding Fathers knew damn well that a citizen must not only be safe from foreign agression, they must be safe from their own Government. It's a lesson that sadly has been forgotten...and so this country has become a police state.
