In quite a few posts here, I've discussed the "true inflation rate" and not the one the Government under-reports on a monthly basis. Same with unemployment - the rate published is not accurate. Here's a good link that explains (in layman's terms) what I've been saying all along:

Yeah, how anyone can use government statistics for 'job creation', 'unemployment' and 'inflation' is beyond me.
That's a good start as to how the numbers are achieved and how little they actually mean.
