Michele Bachmann on Wednesday said she has "decided to stand aside" and is ending her bid for the Republican presidential nomination after her last-place finish in the Iowa caucuses.

The conservative Minnesota congresswoman's decision, widely expected following her Iowa showing, leaves her supporters up for grabs by the other candidates in the race, particularly former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum, former House speaker Newt Gingrich and Texas Gov. Rick Perry.

Republican Michele Bachmann announced Wednesday she would end her presidential campaign.

"I have decided to stand aside," Mrs. Bachmann said at a news conference hours after the caucus results were announced. "I will not be continuing in this race for the presidency."

looks like the R party leaders decided to thin the herd.  it was too damn dense to begin with and they want to shrink the R party voter pool.

she had slightly less chance than Cain did.

I wonder, did her husband tell her to quit or was she allowed to make the decision on her own like a big person?

God told her to run.

Isn't she defying his will by dropping out?

Well in her give up speech, she said she would continue to serve the Lord Almighty by continuing his work of protecting the unborn and traditional marriage while still in congress.

At least we still have that.
